RPD Ain't That Bad Of A Map For Both Sides
I know why a lot of people hate Raccoon City and I understand it's a big map indoor map but, it's really not that bad once you know the layout.
There are plenty of god pallets on this map for Survivors and a couple of nice big loops like the library upstairs or one of the offices near the center of the map as with another god pallet. If you're having trouble finding these loops because you're lost run Windows since you'll know where every vault and pallet is as I know some Survivors can get very confused on this map. Can't find gens well there's maps, Deja vu, and a couple other perks that I can't remember the names cause I never use them.
The Stealth Killers are very strong on this map as there are many areas to sneak attack Survivors maybe get a gen grab as well. For the other Killers it could go either way Nurse will be a hard one as she is on a couple of the other indoor maps tricky. Trickster though is surprisingly actually very good on this map as it's very easy to hit people with the daggers in the long hallways though I don't think Huntress and Deathslinger have as easy as a time as Trickster.
I don't think this'll change many peoples mind about this map but, to me I enjoy this map for the challenge it brings for both sides.

I will never be able to enjoy a map where I can be chasing a survivor down winding corridors, but never actually considered to be “in chase” by the game because I’m not able to get them in my line of sight. Pallet density, gen spread, gate spawns, none of that stuff matters to me if the actual CHASE portion of the game (the bit I enjoy) is so dumb.

So i should take all the info perks for the small chance that i get this map. And even if i learn the map in KYF, my three teammate probably dont do it.
My experience with this map is just a betting game which side dcs first.

I feel like people just want McMillan maps copy & pasted everywhere & don't want the devs to try anything new. The 2 near infinites on the map should definitely be looked into, but the entire layout shouldn't be scrapped.

A lot of people hate it because its a bad map for Dead By Daylight. Even if I give you all of those concessions, it doesn't change the fact that multiple killers basically don't get to use their powers there.

Rpd is absolute trash for dbd

The only time I get this map is when I queue up as Hillbilly.

Heh. Last time I was trying to get a Huntress daily done, I had a group of Survivors where two of them burned the offering for this map. I don't usually DC, but I definitely didn't feel bad about DC'ing from that.

Yes, I would love a map similar to Coal Tower and Ironworks of Misery. They are my favorite MacMillan maps, fun for both sides, and pretty balanced in general. RPD is W gamer luxury.

The map is unhealthy, at least in Lery's and Hawkins you could actually see where the survivors are. In RPD survivors would keep going out of LoS and it was just boring. It's also boring as survivor, all you do is hold W and easily get out of LoS.

Info perks aren't even necessary, the thing with indoor maps is they are almost always the same layout, and spawns are very easy to memorize at least for me. RPD also has actual loops compared to other indoor maps, and while there is indeed god pallets, there is just as many unsafe pallets as well. Playing on the map is fun once you learn it, and while I understand holding w is annoying, but survivors do that anyways. I guess indoor maps just help newer players do it more.

Single handedly the worst map in the entire game. Terrible for a large amount of the killer pool, god pallets, infinite loops, never knowing where you're going, never being able to get directly where you want to. Massive. Multiple levels. Confusing to get around in. Narrow, small, not knowing how good the pallet is in the room you run into is. Everything that sucks about maps all put into one. The climax of developers learning absolutely nothing about what makes maps good or bad all slammed together.
There's a reason people like all of the old maps, and why this game spiraled into terrible maps the moment Red Forest was introduced.

I like the map for both sides. Contrary to the original thought process that people had, which everyone assumed it was going to be survivor sided due to it's size. But I actually think the map for most killer is decent. It can go either way due to killers able to locking down a 3 or even 5 gens in the map. It can get nasty with hag in particular since she can block the access to half of the map literally. But if survivors are smart they can split the pressure and prevent a three gen.

I love this map a lot both as killer and survivor tbh. Probably because I'm an RE fan so me and the squad can actually communicate where we are and use North, East, west, and South.
Some of the best matches I've had have been against nurse here. As killer you can body block doors and halls and if you're nemmy and you can herd them into zombies easier

do survivors suddenly never hold w on every single other map? Holding W is just a plain boring strategy everywhere. I don't think the map changes that, it just makes it harder to cut off survivors, while RPD actually still has plenty of chances where you can cut off survivors. I think they should still maybe split the map in half and have it be two variations.

RPD is full surv map, space between gens is big + floors, easy to win if played right. For killers its a lose, only if thats not some nurse who can blink between floors

I'd be glad if they split the map in half.
The issue with RPD when it comes to W meta is that you can't loops as easily compared to other maps, so it's usually better to hold W until you find one of those BS hallway pallets.
In a map of hallways, you won't cut off survivors as often as others.

I can agree with the hallway pallets, they are definitely just "have this dropped so it is not a worry anymore" type of thing. I still think RPD is better than other indoor maps. There is still loops and good pallets as well as bad pallets. I wouldn't say it is as good as Lery's is seen, but it should definitely take less flak. The size is a fair complaint though, but I never have a problem navigating or finding survivors, or finding gens as survivor

In my opinion RPD is a good idea badly executed, there are some rooms that are dead ends and for how big the second floor is the ways to get up are way to apart of each other (they are way to near the left or rigth of the map and in the center) that trying to patrol gens is loosing a lot of time. And i can imagine survivors have the same problems with try to repair the gens on the second floor and tty to navigate it.

They are balanced? Shelter woods & meat plant is imo the only maps that are still unbalanced

Better copy & paste good maps instead of creating bad ones.

######### RPD.

The map is objectively bad if I can’t use my killer’s power for its intended use (billy for mobility)

My problem with the map is actually defending the gens as killer.
They're well-spread apart and there's no direct route. It's a Midwich situation where you'll hear a generator being repaired, but by the time you've traversed the stairs and hallways it's already popped. The sheer size of RPD just exacerbates the problem.
