So how many of you are going to play sbmm killer?
I am getting my claudette ready...don't want to play killer and sit through a losing streak with my green rank trapper while I get "placed" in the right rank.

I already get plenty of purple and red in my green so I'm hoping for people more my skill you know the ones that I can actually mindgame because they're not triple my hours in the game. Survivor is going to be the same as well you will have to place in the right level or you'll get baby survivors or super good ones with a killer with xk amount of hours

honestly not really the mmr experience was more entertaining as survivor so I'll most likely main survivor more

I will. Killer main, born and bred - I just hope the scummy killers (like Babyhime up there) get weeded out by their typified poor performance so my friends stop having to literally take turns having no fun in a game.

Nothing will change... I will continue to play killer and survivor about 50/50.
I enjoyed the last SBMM test playing both (at rank 1) and look forward to its full-time implementation. I get tired of whooping on some teams as killer and enjoy the more challenging matches, that last longer, that award everyone more bp, and frankly I find way more enjoyable playing both sides. I do find the forum drama and hyperbole fun to watch though - it's a nice break from the usual inane threads.

Definitely. It's gonna be rough for a few games at the start but otherwise I'm fairly certain I'm gonna have fun. Unless you know... bugs.

All that depend the hour you play. They said in the article you can be an average killer and play with high tier survivor if they play during the slow time.

In the patch note they did if the best survivor dont have enough killer they will get paired with lesser skill killer

This goes the other way around as well.
But, this will be the common excuse for Killers who are not that good at the game. "Damn, the tournament squads did not find a game 5 times in a row, that is why I lost."
In general, it is quite funny how many people think that they will be in super high MMR-Ratings. And those are the same who claim that 3 Gens get done before they get one Hook on a constant basis.
Most players will have a fine experience with MMR.

That sounds kind of counter productive. The Ruin Undying Twins would probably have a higher mmr.

There will be no rank. You will have absolutely no idea what your rating is.

There are new colors with numbers in the icons. I don't remember what meant what but there was some type of ranking in the PTB.

Can't wait for all the killers crying here to be wiped out of the high rank trials.
I play killer as well and i will continue to play killer, properly, never using cheap mechanics as most of you do (campnig adn tunneling that you defend in every threads). And as a survivor i will enjoy to face skilled killers that do not camp and tunnel aswell.
It's not because you won't be part of the high ranked play that SBMM is bad. Maybe most killers should have never been part of high ranks playerbase.

Me, more than ever, because I don't like 4 minute trials and that's the AU norm no matter how hard you lose.

If you think that sbmmr will solve camping and tunneling, then you gonna have a bad time.

My last experience was far from enjoyable. Most of my game survivor used map offering, key or BNP sometime all of this togheter. I dont consider myself to be a top killer i belive i may be above average but not in the top 20%. So in my opinion i should not have to face those thing on a regular basis specially when i main nemesis he is far from being a top tier killer. The reason i face strong team in my opinion is probably because i play after midnight so during the down time. The worst part is most of my game i got completly destroy i adapt i start using noed but even that gave me just 1 or 2 kill my hook count was still low no more then 5 hook.
The only good thing about the sbmm in my opinion will be solo survivor.
But all that is my experience i played more or less 40 killer game during the last test and only 20 game as a survivor max. And with the wall of text i just said you can see wich role i think will have a better time

Depends if devs decided to give huge rank penalties if the killer use those mechanics.
When SBMM was in test, i encountered way less campers/tunnelers.

Your Rating was probably boosted. You have to keep in mind that your Rating was already calculated with regular Matchmaking, so you got Survivors who were far weaker than you (because the average Survivor is not really good at the game). Once SBMM was on, you got teams which were on the Level of your Rating, but above your abilities.
If it turns on fulltime, it should even out at some points, since you will lose Rating Points again when you lose against Survivors who are better than you, until you end up at around the same skill leve like the Survivors (which would be above average).
I had the same with SBMM during the latest test, my Hillbilly-games were really sweaty. But on the other side, my Nurse games were far too easy, which shows that I am most likely below average with Nurse, which resulted in a low Rating, which paired me with really low-skilled Survivors and I was above average with Billy, which gave me stronger Survivors (talking about getting 4 Hooks before all Gens were done).

Camping and tunneling are not reportable things. They are even desired strategies.

Not reportable doesn't mean it's considered high skilled. Camping and tunneling killers are just noobs that don't know how to play killers. They use these mechanics to get easy win without the need to be good at chases and map control.
Moreover, these cheap mechanics are way too strong against solo/duoQ squads and works 99% of the time.
Low skill high reward way to play the game. And as camping/tunneling is penalized about piping in the current system, i'm sure it won't be considered high skill.
As a killer i can go from rank 20 to red ranks with barely loosing one or two trials without camping/tunneling once... with Demo, Trapper, PH and Blight. 😂 And here i see everyone complaining about how weak killers are. Those players crying all the time are a joke.

Had a great time as killer during the test, so will continue my 50/50 split of killer and survivor, using the same randomized builds technique I've always done.

Tunneling isn´t penalized in the current piping system. So those things won´t go away, because their root cause is a different one.
Camping&tunneling, just as gen rushing are simply sides of the same coin.
As long as one exists, the other will.

Gen rush doesn't exist. It's not a cheap mechanic, survivors have to do gens so they do gens. What do you want, that they wait roaming in the map for nothing ? So no, gen rush is not a strategy and doesn't exist. In a 3 gens situation you cannot be rushed, it's all about map control.
However, camping & tunneling early is not what the killer has to do. The killer has to hunt and down survivors. Waiting around the hook just to get easy hits/downs is a cheap mechanic.
Atm camping is penalized : Killers are loosing point for staying near a hook if there is no survivor nearby.
With SBMM, high skilled survivors know that when one is camped, you have to do gens as fast as possible = no one will stay near the hook, the killer will loose thus decreasing its SBMM rank and so he/she will be away of high rank play.
Then lower rank survivors will learn how to behave with a camper/tunneler etc...
It's good enough for me.
SBMM will force players to improve on both sides. Those that won't be happy because they are used to be unfair or boosted can leave the game, honestly, i don't see why we should cry for toxic players leaving.

They have no correlation with mmr or matchmaking, just the amount of games you played this month, a new player can get to the highest one if he plays enough.

Most high skilled killers say that the game swifted to killers' advantage and that most of the trials are boring to play now. Almost all well know streamer said it.
Some killer mains said this on this forum aswell.
But guys, you all defend camping & tunneling.
How is it possible to be unskilled to the point you don't see that this is a cheap mechanics lol... it's beyond me. As i said before, moderator should moderate the discussion around camping and tunneling. It's unhealthy for the game.
As a Killer it's super rare that survivors don't tell me gg in the end chat. I never get a "noob camper" or something. Well, if you think camping early is the only viable way to win a trial, you are bad at the game, that's all.

No, this are grades. Grades are an easier version of the old emblem system. So they just show your playtime in the month. The devs said that in their blogpost about the MMR.

When I play fair as slinger it's fair vs BS, when I use ruindying twins it's BS VS BS so I actually have a fighting chance.
