Hit validation is survivor sided
For the past months, I have noticed when I am trying to hit a pallet camping survivor, or when I hit at the moment when survivor drops a pallet -- I always lose. On my screen, I hear a survivor screams after the hit and remain uninjured. Happens during normal hits, Billy's chainsaw, Demo shred -- in all cases I lose.
My ping is always 40 - 60 ms, I use a wired network connection and have no clue why I always lose the pallet hit.

Then stop expecting free hits through pallets?
The previous system favored killers as their client had the final say on whether a hit counted, with no input from the survivor's client. Now the server is the referee. So no, you no longer getting bs hits through pallets does not make the system survivor sided. It's literally as fair as possible.
What is bs, however, is the killer receiving feedback that they got a hit when they didn't. That should really be fixed.
Also, I play plenty of killer and still get plenty of hits at pallets, and only have my hits rejected rarely, like once every couple of games.

It looks bad, but I guarantee you that it is more fair. It sucks to be hit through a pallet from the survivor side.

It's not a BS hit if they can't use half a brain cell and drop the pallet early or time the stun lol.

It is not a free hit. This is a hit at the same time when survivor drops a pallet. It should be 50%/50% at least, but when it is my 50% -- the survivor screams and remains uninjured. So, how is this free stun is fair and a "free" hit is unfair?
This also makes the mind game (when you look left and then hit into the direction of the pallet) against pallet campers worthless -- they always win.

It's wonky with the scream, but that's the 50% (as you say, easy number to work with) they won.

And here I've been feeling cheated, even if in my favor, when a survivor got downed through a pallet.

Nope, I've said it should be 50/50, but now it is 100% on the survivor's side. They scream and run healthy

Shouldn't be 50/50 at all, it should be who got the hit first. But, you're right, it's 100% survivor sided. There's a clip someone shared in another post where the survivor dropped the pallet, stayed on the same side as the killer, and still didn't take the hit.

I know how you feel it has happened to me plenty of times, if you hit and they drop at the same time they scream and gives the survivor another chance to loop that area.

it's interesting that Dead hard works with hatchets.
The hatchet will still hit but DH negates it.

Thats the strat now camp the pallets because the survivor knows the the "validation" will save them and that is pretty bullshit. Have it happen to me a bunch of times and more than once on the same survivor.
