Who decided Decisive strike should work with deliverance?
It's genuine [BAD WORD] where a person can unhook themselves within 16m of me and i get punished for going for the closest and only person who isnt across the [BAD WORD] map in a poorly balanced place, why do i get punished for survivors being stupid

Oh no, the survivor who unhooked themselves is now useless for 60 seconds and it's much more efficient to actually go across the map and pressure the survivors not being useless, or slug that survivor if they are within your 3 gen.
What a crying shame that you're being forced to go for the survivors actually working towards their objective. How absolutely tragic.

They're using a perkslot to do something that can only be done once, which means they're then using a second perkslot, most likely, on DS. That's a pretty good deal if you asked me.

Deliverance only works if the survivor got a save before they themselves got hooked, and DS only works if the survivor got tunneled. Regardless both perks work as intended. It's a high risk/high reward for both involved. Maybe next time don't go for the person who gets off the hook right next to you.

Well, good thing is that you know the survivor doesn't have BT on them. Down them and slug them, Deliverence even has a timer for you to see when you can pick them up.

There is really nothing they can do about this. If unhooking youself is also deactivating DS, this would simply nerf that perk too much. Its a bitter pill you simply have to swollow. On the positive site: He used at least 2 (DS and Deliverance) but probably 3 or 4 (Unbreakable and Soulguard) slots to bring that one time move.

A friend of mine often runs DS and deliverance and it gets her out the gates a surprising amount. It was also pretty funny seeing a Feng hit her with it when she was playing killer

If you want to go back to the person who unhooked themselves you can still eat the DS. It's an anti tunnel perk that activates when you get off the hook. You went back for them right after they were unhooked. The perk is supposed to prevent tunneling which it did. You went back right after they were unhooked. you get stunned for that. Hence the anti-tunnel perk.

How did they mess up? If there's no hope other than to try and 4% it they're going to try. You don't have to go for them just because they unhooked themselves. you can go after them and eat the DS and then go after them again. It's an anti-tunnel perk so if you try to tunnel them off hook no matter what excuse you throw it's going to remain that way. Eat the DS if you want to go after them right after they unhook. BHVR made it an anti tunneling perk and it is fine now.

At this point I am close to the point of asking the devs to get rid of DS completely and just give me a bat, machete or a shotgun instead.
Maybe then play styles won’t be considered “survivors playing stupid”… pressed E to get away? Survivors making mistakes. Used DS at a locker or with Deliverance? It’s survivors playing stupid. The list goes on.
Forget that they virtually aren’t required to press anything while having a hex perk in their load out, Or don’t have to perform an action while getting tinkerer to proc. Because I’m sure that is considered playing “smart” by their own standards.

Deliverance's broken literally lasts as long as DS timer. Just slug them til the broken wears off.

No, it's not enough for most killer mains. Whatever it is, they need more. This game is intolerable as a solo survivor now. I've taken long breaks but I"m just about done for good. But I sure hope they nerf more survivor perks and items. Killers really do need more help.

The description literally says unhooking someone disables DS. Like, at least update the description if you want unhooking to not disable DS.

Unhooking someone deactivates D's after it's been activated. If it's not been activated it cant be deactivated. Activates after being unhooked. "Being unhooked" is unhooking self or someone else doing it.

Deliverance activating DS is good, because DS as it is now serves as a limit on how much value the killer can get out of quickly re-chasing someone who just got hooked, and how many hook states they can rapidly get on one person, without removing costs for sloppy unhooks.
Wasting deliverance early in your first hook phase is a big misplay, and will generally cost the entire survivor team a lot. Deliverance is really good because it allows you to rescue yourself while your team is free to keep on gens, and if you just let the killer slug you, you actually end up in a worse spot overall, even if you have something like Unbreakable it just eats up so much gen time to pull this nonsense if the killer is too smart to fall for it, and worse you might be wasting unbreakable for a dumb combo that doesn't eat up any of the killer's time or stop their progress as opposed to when it is ideally used to clutch a rescue from the ground while the killer is trying to snowball out your entire team.
I get why it is annoying, but it is a 'fair' combo because it is so easy to punish ridiculously hard, and if someone is using deliverance correctly you should never notice they have DS anyway.

Ah, yeah. Well, you can tell I am not a survivor main given I do not realize how this combo would work. Rofl. Honestly, I rarely even see deliverance and in cases where I do, they unhook themselves when I am already on someone else.

I understand why this is annoying. It always bugs me when survivors purposely do something that should be a mistake -- like not waiting until you walk away before they unhook themselves with Deliverance -- and then there are no consequences.
In this case, though, I think the lesson is really to treat any unhook like it could have DS -- which means, slug the person who just unhooked in your face and go chase someone else. If you do that, it's almost as good as if they were still on hook, because someone still has to come and get them -- which means they basically just wasted their Deliverance.

DS= active for 60 seconds (at level 3)
Keep an eye on the survivor that just unhooked themself, when the broken symbol goes, you can chase them/ hook them.
Deliverance can be good for tracking DS as killer tbh. Unless it's engame and they just unhook themself and leave the trial.
