Honestly, Wraith's all-seeing addon isn't all that
It may be one of his best addons, but once you become somewhat skilled playing against Wraith it is not nearly as bad as people like to portray.
The only maps it can absolutely wreak havoc on are the indoor ones, but how often do you play against a Wraith on there anyway? The issue in these situations are just the maps themselves being inconsistent.
It is still a great addon in other maps such as Autohaven, but it is not overpowered in any way.
The perk helps against survivors playing stealthy, meaning if you are more aggressive (hammering gens and running everywhere), then the addon will not do nearly as much. Now, it can definitely still help at some specific locations such as high wall loops, but it can easily be played around by the survivor.
This addon only really starts to do well when the Wraith combines it with perks such as MYC or haunted grounds since survivors tend to go into stealth mode with these perks active.
The addon is made weaker by survivors being more aggressive and the Wraith himself can just be played around normally.
So in the end, the addon is not really nearing on the OP side. Is it strong? Yes. Is it OP? No.
It needs no nerfs, nor does it need Wraith to get a downside when using it. I think it is fine for Wraith to have at least some strong addons, there are quite a few of them that are more fun than useful.

My problem is both wraith’s bringing indoor map offerings and how it compares to similar add ons (Amanda’s letter and scratched mirror specifically).
It’s just too strong to warrant not having a downside/cooldown etc

I would disagree, mainly because the addon removes any kind of 'mindgaming' when it comes to chases involving the Wraith.
Think about it, a lot of wraiths these days spend as much time as possible in cloak to take full advantage of the mobility and the post-uncloak speed boost. Paired with the addon, the wraith has insane information during a chase and can almost never be mindgamed or psyched out. It's like I'm all ears on crack basically
This addon's downside used to be that if you ran it, you only had 1 slot available for other addons like windstorm, shadow dance, swift hunt and so on
I also don't think the fact stealth becomes unviable is that fair, Blight had an addon similar to this and it was nerfed to be a bit more fair. Rightly so if you ask me

I don't mean to be rude, but we're talking about Wraith's all seeing addon in this thread. I don't appreciate the "what about x"
Please direct me to where I said keys and blood amber were okay and balanced (even though they run out and Wraith's all seeing is basically permanent but ok)
A more apt comparison would've been object of obsession, that let's you see the killer for potentially 3 seconds during a chase (In which the killer will also see you too)

People don't care for the fact that wraith even when now good and popular is still at best high mid tier killer.
They won't stop complaining about him until he gets at least 1 major nerf to cripple him again.
2 -
When did I ever say map offerings were fair in general? All I’m saying here is that wraith with this add on and an indoor map can be insanely strong
As for the license thing they managed to completely change Freddy even though they couldn’t get him on switch so I doubt that claim
1 -
Nerfing his wall-hack isn't crippling him. It's the only thing that needs attention. Everything else if perfect for him and should never be touched.
5 -
Yeah I mean I don't think Wraith should be nerfed but a small few of his addons should be looked at imo
Like I said in a previous post, the downside to a lot of wraith addons boiled down to "ye you can run this but it takes up a slot"
Not saying addons should have omega downsides, but yeah.
2 -
id like it changed to a new strong addon of some kind. I think stealth should remain as a viable strategy against Wraith. He hits people so easily that I don't think it's good to have an addon that punishes the weak link even further. The existence of Silent Bell makes Spine Chill even more appealing imo.
despite being so basic, i love all of wraiths speed addons. so basic, but so useful. give me more of those.

That's maybe what you think but I've seen more then enough people wanting basically all his strong addons to be made useless right next to nerfs to basekit.
The wallhack is nothing special either. Blight has one about as strong and nobody is complaing about it anymore even when still one of his best addons and it belongs to possbily S tier killer unlike wraith who's at best high B.
1 -
Nobody's saying the game is perfectly balanced in this thread
This thread is talking about the All Seeing Addon and whether or not it's an addon that should be changed
Going into threads talking about things and derailing by going "oh but xyz is in the game" or talking about gen times isn't a discussion, it's just deflection from the actual subject being discussed

Those people are the same as the ones who think cleansing totems is a difficult task. They shouldn't be listened to.
I agree that Wraith is upper B tier, even with the wall-hack, but it's just so frustrating to deal with the tunneling ex-Freddy mains who switched to Wraith and not being able to stealth away from the hook. If they would just make recently unhooked survivors immune to the aura reading for 15-20 secs, I wouldn't complain.
1 -
I would disagree, at least on the part where it should have a downside.
If you want to play Wraith against good survivors, you need to start using good addons such as the all-seeing one, or bone clapper. Without addons you will struggle against better survivors.
With the new SBMM system coming up, you should also expect to see better survivors since it seems that this new one does its job better than all the other ones.

Indoor maps are already favored for wraith. he doesn't need all-seeing to win an indoor map. If anything indoor maps+Wraith is aspect that is strong.
I completely agree with your post. I still use compound 21 on Blight. the add-on was always there even before his rework and there were zero complaints about wraith before his rework. High-mid tier is good position for a killer to be at.
I am willing to bet survivors that are complaining about all-seeing are rank 10-20/low MMR survivors because when old freddy was released, survivors said "permanent aura reading overpowered, nerf old freddy" and there were just in general a lot of excuses like "I do not understand his power" during this time. Since they're not good at the chase, they use stealth as crutch and aura reading takes away their ability to use stealth and forces them to learn looping.
Even to this day, you still see BBQ is overpowered posts every so often by new players.
Its also same survivors that complain about add-ons like Tuft of hair(Unlimited EV3) that gives unlimited instant downs or Clown Pinky finger because they are not good at looping m1 killers so instant downs are powerful to them. They're far too reliant on health states as a way to crutch the game.
1 -
Getting rid of All Seeing Blood won't cripple him when his basekit is already very good???
Unless you're absolute garbage at tracking and get carried to higher ranks through that add-on, in which case you shouldn't be there.
7 -
The problem is that you don't know he has it. Unless your a 3000 hour survivor you can hazard a strong guess he has it but even then it's not certain. The indoor map part is also a bit strong.
Like Clown isn't strong at all but his instadown bottle should be nerfed.
It needs a downside or changed tbh.

But keys got map wide range and survivors can stack them compared to wraith all seeing which is only 12m. He does have a down side, he can’t attack when cloaked and is a m1 killer, just camp pallets especially they buffed pallet camping for survivors by giving killers fake hits. Spine chill and sprint burst are good against any killer, just run when the scared cat light up and camp a pallet or window. What can a m1 killer do against pallet camping and running? Why do y’all cherry pick killers so much? Where did they hurt you? Should we delete aura reading since “wall hacks are no fun for either sides”

The argument I'm seeing from you isn't
"All seeing is balanced"
It's
"But keys are unbalanced"
You're not arguing that the addon is balanced, you're arguing it shouldn't be touched because there are other unbalanced things on the other side which is completely missing the point of discussing something to begin with
4 -
you can’t pick and choose, either all wall hacks are fine or it’s not. Tbh I don’t mind deleting all wall hacks if it stop you survivors mains to stop cherry-picking what make killers unique and fun
0 -
This is why people don't believe the DBD community is capable of discussion regarding balance
You say your opinion on a single addon, and all of a sudden
"You are cherry-picking survivor main"
4 -
But if you say that, idk, Dead Hard should be toned down you're a cherry picking killer main
You absolutely cannot win with this community, ever
4 -
It's the antagonism that gets me.
It's okay to think all of my opinions are cold garbage but don't act like I'm trying to push some malicious agenda where I want all killer mains to suffer
it happens tho

The perk helps against survivors playing stealthy
I don't like to nitpick but this might confuse some peeps, i know for certain it would confuse me on one of my less-good days. 😜
Anyway @Yords, have you ever tried "All Seeing" - Spirit on a "Pressure the Generators" build?
First of all you can abbreviate that Add-on to ASS, which is awesome. (I wonder if it'll censor it, i can't see it as i write this.)
Secondly i'm liking it more and more which is weird.
I've always preferred more Power Perks, like Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, Brutal Strength, stuff like that.
But having multiple Generators go pop with Surge, Eruption & Oppression, IDK it feels very nice.
And because of ASS, i know with a simple cloak where those Perks are needed the most.
1 -
I don't think I have, if I wanted to pressure gens as wraith I would use the ultra rare for tracking gens and probably a windstorm addon.

Experiences may differ of course, but bruh: Explosions all around!
😈⛏️😫💥💥💥

Its op against bot survivors, indoors, or with HG/MYC. Any wraith that does not have double re-appearance you can easily run out of the range of his lunge. He takes an eternity to uncloak without appearance add-ons.
0 -
You're wrong to think All Seeing Blood doesn't help in chases. It nullifies any kind of mindgame the survivor can do during the uncloaking period on high wall loops. Just imagine you're at shack or a jungle gym uncloaking behind a wall, the survivor doesn't want to risk the 50/50 of being hit with the super lunge, so he leaves the loop. The Wraith without All Seeing will not be able to notice that until he finishes uncloaking and goes behind the all, but the one that has the addon will.
1 -
My biggest problem is, if you wanted to use Silent Bell and All-Seeing before his Buff, you had to sacrifice mobility, because you were not able to equip Windstorm.
Or, if you wanted Windstorm, you had to choose to either use the Silent Bell or All-Seeing.
So if a Wraith player wanted to play with their strongest Add Ons, they had to sacrifice in at least one aspect - either mobility, or Stealth (Silent Bell) or Information (All-Seeing). But now they have Windstorm for free, so if they want to use their strongest Add Ons, they dont have to sacrifice anything.
It is basically pre-buff Wraith with 3 Add On-Slots. And if you ask if Killers should have 3 Add On-Slots, the answer would be a definite "No" from basically everyone who has some knowledge about the game and is not entirely biased.
And sadly, I have seen quite a bunch of Wraith who use All-Seeing and the Silent Bell and it gets really annoying to play against them with basically 3 strong Add Ons. It is not like Wraith is OP or anything with All-Seeing, but he would also not be weak if it gets nerfed or reworked entirely.
(Another topic would be that those Add Ons are especially powerful on Indoor Maps, which are already very good for Stealth Killers)
2 -
It's not hard to figure out if Wraith is running ASB and play around it. Also I will defend my anti Blendette addon with my last breath.
1 -
I did mention how it can be used in some instances like that, but it can easily be avoided if the survivor positions themselves correctly.
0 -
I play Wraith daily and there's no "position yourself correctly" when I use All Seeing Blood. The survivor either has to camp a pallet or a vault, but I run Shadow Dance with Bambozlee so it doesn't really matter for me.
1 -
Do survivors not use their ears? You can hear this idiot thumping and grunting like 15 meters away....
0 -
It's pretty good but only Claudettes are desperate to nerf it.
1 -
Okay
But all I said was I think one of Wraith's addons is unbalanced
0 -
The Red game breaking add-ons suck. They are supposed to be rare but Killers earn so much BP you can just play a different Killer until you can dump BP into the Killer you need good add-ons for. This is why basically every match has Red / Purple addons. Nearly every time I face Trapper, he has the add-on to reset his traps. Some aren't as bad as others but, I think add-ons should basically buff the basekit mechanics, not add completely new mechanics. They are farmed way too easily, many of them offering reveal or exposed mechanics that aren't fun on the opposite side.
1 -
I'm not sure about you but I haven't seen blight's aura reading addon since it got nerfed.
1 -
Please remember to keep this discussion civil and on-topic, thank you.
3 -
Yeah I don't think it's a popular addon, but it's by no means completely terrible. Seeing survivors within 8 meters of a bump location is much fairer than the version we had on Blight's debut
I'd also say it's outclassed by his other popular addons, namely the rush cooldown, alchemist ring and the speed addons.
People who play Blight typically don't struggle with tracking survivors, they usually have perks to help with that
1 -
he has 2 "all seeing" addons you're talking about "all seeing -blood"
0 -
Yeah, forgot about the other one
1 -
"all-seeing -spirit" let's you see progress of generators
sorry just flexing my wraith main knowledge
1 -
Well same do surv with haddonfield and Other maps survs can prepare the game but killers cant either?
1 -
I don't think it needs nerf. But most Wratih players who use All Seeing blood are very likely to use both indoor map offering, Silent Bell too, which is why people hate it so much.
