damn it Karu, now all those "nerf spirit" threads will be revived!

I think they meant you'd hear footsteps when no one is around.

A return to normalcy

No, they meant that you didn't hear footsteps while in phase, which is literally what they were all saying would kill her and she'd never be fixed, she was Shadownerfed and the survivors won, etc etc etc. That's so what got fixed.

I don't even understand why people call things "shadow nerfs". If it's not listed as a change, assume it's a bug, it's as simple as that.
7 -
Because survivors get bugs, killers get shadownerfs which will never be changed and the evil survivors won again. At least on the forums, Twitter seems to be the opposite.
3 -
Exactly. Like, people complain on a daily basis how many Bugs are in this game, but if something is bugged, they claim it is a Shadow-Nerf...

Good that they're going after sounds, but i'll believe that it's actually fixed once i see- once i hear it.
Sounds being bugged has been a thing for quite a long time now.

Yeah because not listing something and then saying it was a bug afterall is definitive proof of anything... I do not believe for a second that you change 1 perk and immediatly the only killer making use of it also has a sound problem. We know every killer, better yet, the game, suffers from audio issues so the fact that ONLY NOW did it affect Spirit's phasing is rather curious...
Either the bug was there and Stridor was fixing the issue for Spirit or the "bug" was created after the changes to Stridor but since Stridor is a Perk and not her power then that change should have no correlation to Spirit's ability to track sound while phasing.
It can't be a bug because before the changes to Stridor She could still hear footsteps without using Stridor so the conclusion is rather obvious, she either got bugged at a very inconvenient time or it was an intended change to accentuate the fact that Stridor was important for her. Either way this has backfired on BHVR because now they either fix the bug if there's a bug or they revert the unlisted change.
End of the day we the players still can't prove anything but it's as a stupid situation nonetheless.

Sir, you dropped your Tinfoil Hat.

What... What the #########..?
Do- do you know which company codes this game? Do you know how sounds have screwed for literally years? So of course changing a core mechanic of sound (making it multiplicative instead of additive) would make bugs???

spirit haters on copium rn

Moreso I've just resigned myself to the same amount of miserable games but at least there's gonna be less Blight's

Amen, i'll drink to that.

I was patient...and also reported a comprehensive list of those Spirit bugs in the bug reports section. I'd like to think I did my duty. Now back to playing one of my favorite killers, finally...

Call it whatever you want. All we know is before Stridor got changed she could hear and after she couldn't.

And?
DBD is known for breaking things which might have been completely unrelated.
Let alone, what would be the reason for a Shadow Nerf? Usually, Shadow Nerfs happen to avoid getting a backlash from the Community, but this would not work with the DBD-Community, since they claim that something got shadownerfed when it is just bugged.

So if I read this right, Spirit was unable to hear footsteps she should have but now that's fixed?
