does anybody know how these work?, me and my friend have been trying to fuigre it out but we stil ldon't know :/

These are simply a sign of how much and how successful you play over the course of each month and award a BP reward depending on the grade bracket.
Matchmaking will be separated and done via a hidden elo value called the sbmmr. (Skill based matchmaking ranking)

thank you so much finally after an hour of searching i received my answer. But i have a question if i'm an ash level 4 why was being sent up against alot of silver players my last couple matches not complaining just curious

ok thank you, and was I correct in reading that each killer will have their own "skill" level so for example if I'm better with trapper than nurse i will be matched with tougher survivors in my trapper match than my nurse match or will all killers be on the same skill "setting"

Yeah thats how it'll work. If you're good on PH and Freddy you'll have a higher skill rating and be paired accordingly. If you're bad on nurse or Billy, you'll be paired with your skill for those killers you have chosen which will be lower.
Hopefully it means previously higher ranked killers can learn other killers they dont play now without going into matches and being wrecked.

That's great to hear cause I've been wanting to try Nurse and Myers but have been getting wrecked with getting dumped in with higher "tiered" survivors
