New Killer Concept: The Feral
The idea of the Feral, is to have a more beast like killer. I personally imagine the Feral to be some kind of werewolf, or a wendigo maybe.
Its concept is slightly similar to the Legion, but doesn't exactly suffer from the same problems.
The Feral is all about hunting down one survivor at a time. Giving a thrilling experience for both players.
The Feral moves at 110% speed, has a terror radius of 32 meters, and its special ability has a passive and a active effect:
Passive: the Feral has to hit survivors +1 more time to down them (3 hits from full health).
The first hit, still counts as wounded.
When hit, survivors could get a vertical line in the UI similar to those in the game icon, down in the space where their status is. Which doesn't apply any effects, it is just aditional hits.
Healing would work as normal. Fully restore to the healthy state, no matter the amount of strikes, a survivor has.
Exposed would either work as normal, or at least let the Feral deal double damage.
Active: the Feral stops and sniff the air for 3 seconds. If there is a wounded survivor within 60 meters, the Feral makes a directional howl that can be heard from 80 meters away, and the closest wounded survivor becomes marked and the Feral enters a frenzy. Doing the frenzy, the marked survivors' aura, is revealed to the Feral for 10 seconds, and the Feral gain a +20% speed boost, while running in the marked survivors' general dirrection and can vault at the same speed as survivors.
The frenzy last for 30 seconds, or until the the Ferals next attack, or if the Feral gets hit by a pallet.
A special music will be played for the marked survivor, which will become louder and faster, as the Feral closes in.
When the frenzy ends, the ability goes on a 30 seconds cooldown.
If the Feral can't smell any wounded survivors, when sniffing, the ability goes on a 10 seconds cooldown, and the Feral makes a non-directional sound, that can be heard from 30 meters away.
When performing its mori, the Fetal locks its jaws around the survivors' throat and violently shake him around, before snapping his neck.
Its add ons could be about, boosting its tracking abilities.
Perk 1: A hex that gives the killer, a directional sound clue when within 10 / 15 / 20 meters of the obsession.
Perk 2: Ability animations are 4 / 8 / 12 % faster.
Perk 3: Survivors become exposed if they are within 3 / 6 / 9 meters of 2 other survivors, not including hooked or downed survivors.
The Ferals' map should be in a dark forest, and the survivor could be an camper, who were looking for bigfoot.
The Feral's lore could be have the Feral, to be a mythical creature, a child of the entity. Or a abused pet.

As cool as this sounds I think the ability has a flaw. Having to take one extra hit to down someone doesn't sound great. What happens after 2 hits, deep wound? If so it would be too similar to Legion with the pallet vaulting.
Perk 1 would only work well with Dying Light. I don't see why you would use this otherwise.
Perk 2 sounds like it could be good but they wouldn't add it. There is too many issues with how this would affect certain killers.
Perk 3 needs clarified on how long the exposed status lasts for? Also the killer would need to get a notification to say if survivors have been exposed.0 -

Ty for the comment-
The passive part of the ability, were because I thought that the killer would become too powerful, since it involved both a speed boost and aura reading, on such a great range, and it would be very difficult to escape it.
I didn't think that there should be more to it than, the killer just had to attack 1 more time, than usual.Originaly I thought that the killer should hit survivors 4 times, to down them, and then kill them on the spot instead of hooking them, because it is feral beast and doesn't uderstand hooks. But I thought it would be too powerful.
I would like to hear your thoughts on that.Perhaps the passive should be scrapped all together. But I'm not sure if that would make things worse or better.
I must admit, that I'm not too clever when it comes to perks.
All I can say is that, the exposed effect on the 3rd one, is just to discourage body blockers, and should only be active when 3 survivors are close to each others, and near the killer at the same time.0 -

I think most perk ideas have already been created. It's very hard to think of new perks because people dont like the idea of copying their ideas if you take one of theirs.
Look at what perks will help your killer with their ability. Is your killer better at early game kills or late game and then think of perks which help that idea.
I have a killer idea posted called The Scientist. Take a look at how my perks help my killer with his ability because he is a long game killer. If you give me a comment on that discussion about how you feel my idea is that would really help me as well. If you give me feedback on my chapter, on my discussion I can help with your perks if you want.0 -

The other issue is that the devs won't add a killer that isn't human or at least act human. I think the 4 hits and mori would be broken. It would encourage tunnelling and if you were found at the beginning then you may as well just give up. Also 4 hits, how would that be shown on the UI? How long would healing take? How would phanatraphobia work?

As I said, I kinda scraped the 4 hit and mori idea, since it would be very powerful. But I insist that it is an interesting concept, which would change up the game, so it doesn't feel as repetitive.
But the Feral is supposed to tunnel survivors and change the game, to become a race between the survivors and the killer. And I want to stick to that theme.
When hit, survivors could get a vertical line in the UI similar to those in the game icon, down in the space where their status is. Which doesn't apply any effects, it is just aditional hits.
Healing would work as normal, fully restore to the healthy state, no matter the amount of strikes, a survivor has. And exposed would either works as normal, or at least let the Feral deal double damage.
And I do think that the perks would work great with this killer and others, for that matter.
Perk 1 tells the killer which way to go. Is it great on its own? No, but that is why there are 4 perkslots.
Perk 2 allows killers the killers to do their thing faster. This got to work on everything, without fail.
Perk 3 Discourages body blocking. And losing a survivor because of that, is one of the most annoying things to happen to a killer.I'm not claiming that any of this is balanced as I write it down. I'm just posting the concepts.
