dead hard should be deleted from the game all together for it's abuse at extending chases

Your issues with DH sound like a you problem.

How does Dead Hard counter camping and tunneling?
2 -
I play against it every day and I have no problem with it
As a Clown main I can easily fake a hit & force a wasted DH, playing around DH is part and parcel of high-level killer

I hate dead hard and decisive strike but i guess im a weird survivor. I dont use eather one. As a killer i do expect everyone to have DH so i try to bait it out of them. Its kinda boring how you see same 4 perks on everyone. People are too scared to be different.
I normally run with Lithe, empathy, borrowed and spine chill (or kindred)

I am a 5 yrs player. i literally found this game before it launched and I am still devotion 2. I am new, huh?
Well, I guess I am devotion 2 because for the first 2 years I didn't have devotion and only for the first 2 years I played this game a lot.
I wouldn't take devotion to determine one's skill.

How do I bait it out when the survivor I am is still not close enough for me to lunge, but still far enough to not reach shack window before I get them. They literally press E to reach shack window, aka extend chase by 2 minutes because for some reason the game loves putting safe loops next to shack.

A single DH is more annoying than a single SB.
But a squad of SB is far more annoying than a squad of DH, because now the start of every chase takes an extra 20-30 seconds just to catch up.

I disagree, Dead Hard is a good perk. you can easily get a survivor out of it too.
I am a killer main and i also play survivor and use dead hard it is a fun perk too. gives a survivor that bit of extra distance and can be saved - another chance- just like killer has noed. both very good perks.. as for noed just do totems.. i know people love to complain about that.

The devs designed a perk, implemented it in-game, tested and released it.
Killer mains: "wahaaaaaa ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE"
How can you abuse something that was intentionally put inside the game?

Sanity check failed.

I think it should be allowed once a match. Or maybe you have to earn tokens (up to a total of 3) by hook saves or something.
This would associate and compliment David's base perks set as there would be an extra incentive to go for hook saves when injured with No Mither (earning a Dead Hard token along with the We're Gonna Live Forever bonus).

Dead hard is one of the strongest survivor perks for sure but unlike borrowed time, DS and unbreakable, DH takes skill IMO. Its not just press 'E'. Atleast the killers i go against expect it and its based on reaction. DH is one of the most balanced perks in the game IMO.

Yano I get the frustration with certain perks from either side.
But it's in the game so people just need to stop ######### crying about it and get over it, get on with it man.

Not really. The perk is designed to be used in chases, therefore it is designed to EXTEND chases. You can't abuse something by using it the way it was supposed to be used. Maybe you killer mains are failing the sanity check when branding anything you do not like "abuse"?
The whole concept of perks is that they allow you to do something that would not be possible otherwise. Some of them allow you to extend chases, some of them allow you to do some actions faster. You can't claim that because a survivor perk works against the killer(again, which is what they were designed to do) it is abuse.
Killer perks work the same way. Corrupt blocks gens at the start of the game and you can't block gens without using a perk like Corrupt. Is it abuse when you run this perk?
You guys really need a reality check.

Say like Mori's?
But not keys because those are fine right?
1 -
Did I say something like Mori's? Did I say anything about keys?
Something can be unbalanced or too strong, but it is not abuse. As long as it was put inside the game by the developers and not nerfed, it is not "abuse". You can abuse a bug, an exploit, not an intentional feature.
Using a mori or using a key is not abusing anything. But yes, both mori and keys were/are a bit too strong. Being too strong != being an exploit. Get your facts straight people.
2 -
I bought up Mori's and keys simply because they either have been changed or slated to be changed.
"mplemented it in-game, tested and released it."
Hence why certain perks have and will continue to be changed.

I would much prefer sprint burst over dead hard.
Sprint burst has requirements. You either have to walk everywhere or use it and risk not having it when uou need it.
Someone who 99% their sprint burst can't work on gens.
And most importantly sprint burst happens at the start of a chase. If i see you sprint bursting to a supersafe zone i can just leave you and harras other survivors. You might have saved yourself but you bought zero time.
With dead hard i have to go through the entire chase to then suddenly get outplayed by a perk
Sprint burst also won't do anything against traps or other powers.
Sprint burst is very strong. Arguably stronger then dead hard maybe. But it's no where near as antagonising to deal with

Really, really failed.
First, because you said that BHVR is testing something.
Second, because you assumed that if something is released there is no legit reasons to change it, which is simply insane.

DH counters NOED, so just do bones!

DH OP?? Its a joke right?
1 -
That's the purpose of this perk, to extend the chases, reach a pallet, vault, the exit, unhook at time if there's no time left, avoid traps or flashlight saves lol

I think you really lack reading comprehension. It's sad, really.
I never said it should not be changed. I said using something that was intentionally put inside the game is not abuse. Using an intended mechanic is fair game. If something is too strong then it should get nerfed. BUT, you aren't abusing anything by using a perk or item that may be currently too strong.
Taking advantage of a bug or using an exploit is abuse. I tried to explain this as simply as possible so you may understand it the 3rd time around. If not, feel free to reply something completely unrelated, again, and I will do my best to simplify this even more. Maybe a drawing will help?

It gives you more time before you get downed therefore making it harder for the killer to camp and tunnel you
0 -
"unreliable" do you use it? Do you just have crap internet? that's a you problem actually.
It's ability to CHOOSE when you get the immunity and distance to put yourself in a safe spot like old sprint burst did is why it's OP
Sprint burst doesn't block dmg in it's use, DH does. Get that straight pls
0 -
For me that depends on the Killer. If I play Myers I'd rather have anything else than sprint burst. They are gone before you can stalk (the reason why I use mind breaker on him lol).
On many other killers (especially ranged ones) I'd prefer anything over Dead Hard.

Not to sound rude, but do you play survivor? Do you/have you used dead hard?
The good majority of the time you end up exhausted on the ground unless you time it absolutely perfectly and most of the times killers can bait out a dodge. There is a reason it's nicknamed 'Dead'. Just try it for a few games of survivor and see how often that happens to you using it. The distance is so miniscule even if you got to the next pallet or window most of the time you get downed shortly after anyways.
And if you are chasing a person for too long and they extend the chase with dead hard, why not just drop the chase anyways? You aren't applying any pressure to anyone else/the gens. That was the advice I got when I had my first killer match ever, and ya know what it's right - choose your battles.
1 -
Dead Hard is one of the easiest exhaustion perks to counter.. If you know they have it, or expect them to have it, wait a second longer before going for a lunge/hit.. they'll use it.. then you can chase for an extra second and down them. Easy peasy, lemon squeesy.
1 -
Thanks for proving you totally ignored the whole post.
1 -
I didn't read your post AT ALL.
But from going back to read it after your reply.. and just reading the first sentence.. The survivor can't "endlessly" use it. Once used, it's gone, for that chase. If the survivor uses it "endlessly" against you.. you need to git gud at chases.
Don't be so eager to hit them if you know/think they have DH, and wait the split second longer it takes for them to use it before going for a hit. Never fails to work.
Or.. Git gud.
1 -
Not when they put themselves in the perfect spot not to get hit in a lot situations, or to reach the pallet not dodgeing a hit or the window
0 -
Knowing bhvr they will make all exhaustion perks become boon totems lol
0 -
I feel like you completely ignored what I wrote or just didn't read it because this response didn't seem to be a reply to my post at all. So with I'm assuming the answer to my questions is no, you don't and you haven't tried it or will not try it to see how often it works, but ok.

Pig Main Silver II I have never had an issue with this. Stop tunneling or use something to cause exhaust like mind breaker. This isn't a issue or a problem in the game and I even hate it more than you but nothing ever needs to be removed only tweak or add a counter this why games suck when you nerf or remove things with out thinking.
Forgot to mention I can actually kill Red Grades easily as long as not a group SWF. Half the time it's fun using traps with exhaust additives to prevent it.
I am also rather new, usually forced to be survivor but I am Devotion II. Killer Main.

there's prob a vast majority where it does work properly, i see in a lot of my games people using it no problem. When it does work and how it's set up is OP
0 -
My internet doesn't change that BHVR had to release two fixes for that perk in particular just in the latest patch - it simply didn't work right, kiddo. I've never used Dead Hard as a survivor (I avoid exhaustion perks), but it has a storied history of being awfully coded. It's not OP, kiddo, you're just bad.
0 -
You don't sound very high rank lmao
1 -
Rank 1 survivor and killer every season, kiddo, but y'all in here pretending Dead Hard is broken - next you'll be the losers pretending genrush is real
0 -
Okay but nobody said that, we talking about how DH is extremely powerful right now and needs a shin kick
0 -
maybe you should play killer more and educate and talk less until you know what's going on at high ranks
1 -
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but is not the point of the exhaustion perk to extend distance during a chase? No?
2 -
Bamboozle should be deleted from the game for being used by low-skill killers to shut off average and weak loops. Seriously, how lazy do you have to be to bamboozle a T L wall?
1 -
Since the ranks no longer exist, you should explain to me what you are talking about!

Post 1 says it, and there's people agreeing. Maybe read the nonsense you're defending
