If Pennywise was added, what would It be called?
Pennywise is one of the most frequently requested killers to join DbD, and I'd have thought it would eventually come.
But when it does - what would it be called?
It can't be 'The Clown' as we already have one, and it can't be called 'The Entity' because we already have one...and 'The It' doesn't make any sense.
'The Eater of Worlds' is too long - and doesn't fit the one word naming convention that's been established. Looking at the wikipedia page for It, one of it's aliases is apparently 'The Eternal' which sounds cool but doesn't necessarily fit in with Pennywise as a character.

The demon spider or the demon clown. I haven't seen the movies, but doesn't it eat children? Maybe child eater if they're feeling bold

So here's my issue (lore wise). His power in the movie is fed by fear and belief in him.
You think that Claud or Nea on the other side of the pallet believes in or fears him? Nah.

Seriously though, I’m the novel (according to Wikipedia) It states it’s name is Robert “Bob” Gray.
The game could refer to him as the Shape Shifter or Shifter for short.

I saw scenes from IT 1990 when I was 6 years old and I always believed that I was a common human with mental problems and cannibalism, because in those scenes whenever he showed his teeth, it was to kill him that way. Which always traumatized me. So he can kill you biting or eating you, or displaying his powers as the Deadlights.

My choice would be The Dweller. It's more accurate to what IT tends to do, given how it lurks in the darkest corners of both people's fears and of the town itself, sounds unique and interesting enough, and isn't as boring and unfitting as a name like The Deadlights.
Other choices could be The Terror or The Lurker.

I imagine just "The Pennywise". Seems to be the trend when no other recognizable name would fit.
"The Clown" is already taken so obviously can't be that.
We already have Ghostface as "The Ghostface", Demogorgon as "The Demogorgon", and Nemisis as "The Nemesis".
Although, I don't think it would matter much in the end what his name would end up being, we'd all still call him Pennywise.
