This game is making me a bad person

So SBMM was enabled. Apparently, I'm supposed to be matched with people of my skill level. Awesome. Well not really- everyone seems to be re-painted red ranks (now called Iridescent), and for some reason, the level of bad manners from both Killers and Survivors I've experienced has gone through the roof.

Muh Story:

After multiple matches of camping, tunneling, and 'team mates' working with the Killer, I'm already jaded and bitter. Load into a match against Pig. Bless her, this Killer is the first one playing normally and not tunneling like an arse.

BUT-

the moment the match started, I notice the Steve (it's ALWAYS a Steve), who thinks he is the hottest, the most amazing bloody survivor who has ever slammed a pallet. I HATE people like this. You can see them dancing around- taking unnecessary risks, running AFTER the Killer, trying to embody f*ckin jazz-hands to show that Killer and everyone else how adept, how unstoppable, how ELITE he is as he unhooks a poor Feng in the Pig's face without Borrowed Time (she got downed and hooked again).

oh, his side kick was a Cheryl. Also VERY ah-mazing in her own head just FYI.

We're down to 2 gens . I have the second last at about 90%. I see the Steve running towards me with Pig in tow. I surmise he wants to loop her around the shack ( I am working on the gen IN the shack). So I slip into a locker. I think that I'll wait until the coast is clear, and 5 seconds the gen will be done.

So what does Steve do? He runs into the shack, OPENS the locker I'm in, shows the Pig I'm in there, and teabags.

Now INB4: I have done gens/ saves in this match. I even unhooked STEVE. I am that team mate Bill who hates leaving anyone behind. I'm always conscious of grabbing people off the hook before struggle- making sure they're healed. Doing the grunt work the flashy Steve's of DBD are too good for. So don't think I'm a crouching, hiding coward.

No, Steve in this case was being a D-bag. For no reason.

Alas, I immediately jump out of the locker and start running. The Pig switches target to me, and eventually downs me. The Cheryl saves me, only to get hooked fairly quickly afterwards and promptly kills herself (the poor Feng was long gone).

And here is the crux of my story.

After Cheryl gets sacrificed, Steve gets hooked.

I am so pissed off at this point. Sir Hotshot threw the entire match for what? Because he couldnt stand that I jumped in a locker? He's struggling, and God help me, I walk over-, RBT on my head (inactive mind you) just me and him left.. and I STARE at that jerk, and I did not unhook him. Oh no.

I walked away.

I didn't even know where the hatch was. I just knew the entire match was blown and that sometimes, some of these jerks need to learn a lesson; if you treat your team mates like crap, don't expect them to be there for you.

I heard the sound of Steve's death, and suddenly, the sweet hum of a hatch. Just steps from me. I had no idea it was even there. And yes, I got it. I got the hatch.

This game is turning me into a monster.
