How are we reducing the grind?
So first things first, I'll start by saying I LOVE that bloodpoint rewards are coming with the monthly reset. It's a fun reward to look forward to once you top the charts, if you top the charts. My question now is, what are we doing to reduce it further?
As many of us know, 250k bloodpoints gets slurped down like it's a keg at a frat house and it isn't really a lot, despite being half a million bps. At a max leveled killer, that is maybe enough to get them through 3-4 blood webs, which is 8 perk ranks out of 198 perk ranks total. Sure it's delightful to get 8 perk ranks, but that's still nearly 190 perk ranks to go. Mind you, this is only on ONE killer out of the 25 killers we have in game. Add in the 27 (soon to be 28) survivors in the game and that's 243 perk ranks, not including what it takes to level other survivors to get their teachable perks.
So to this end, my question once more appears... What is being done to reduce the amount of grind that there is in the game?

Grind is why you play. You won't play if there's no new content to Grind for. Why do you think everyone comes back to DbD when new content launches? Cause it's new content to Grind, you will want the new perks on all the other characters.

Thats not new content to grind for, especially when you get it at level 1. People don't play this game to grind for perks, this isn't some korean mmo. They play this game because the gameplay loop of killer vs survivor is fun. Having the extra stuff impede upon that is just an extra annoyance.

Best Idea: Every perk that you unlock is available at level 1 for all characters. Reduce grind by a third and make it easier to pick up new Killers especially 👍️

I play because I enjoy the gameplay and have fun. Sure I get burnt out from time to time, but I still come back because I like the unique experience that playing this game has. If the reason that one plays is solely because of the new content and not the game, then that is on the player, not the game itself.

I'm kissing bye to hard grind soon. After this pass (currently at level 60/70), I'm not bothering with the Rift passes anymore, thus no urgent grind to finish it. Going casual.

You're saying you don't play for Grind on a Game made based on Grind. If there was no Shrine, there'd be no value for iridescent shards since it's just faster to get cosmetics and killers by using money, meaning it takes too long to get enough shards to buy a killer or a cosmetic. You're Grinding Shards as you play, you're Grinding BP for the Perks and items and add-ons everytime. You don't do anything without Grinding in DbD. You might get Characters and Cosmetics with money but then you're still Grinding for Perks, add-ons, offerings and items. Playing DbD is playing Grind. You're not going far without DLC perks, now more than ever because of SBMM, but to get them you'll have to play and play and play, GRIND BP to unlock the perks.

I would remove perk tiers, have bp events every weekend, and double bp indefinitely

I play for the gameplay, not the grind. Your point here is saying that everything is a grind, but at that point we can whittle most things in life down to a grind lol. I'm simply saying that reducing the grind in some facet, at most with obtaining perks via the bloodweb, would be the best course of action. Even then, my argument was that I play to have fun with the mechanics of the game whilst playing it in the trials, not within the menus and bloodweb.

What is being done to reduce the grind? Nothing. Devs have been silent on this topic for a long time despite it being brought up frequently on the forums. I don’t believe they have any intention of making changes to reduce the grind. From a purely financial perspective it won’t make sense for them to do anything unless they start seeing player and revenue losses and attribute those losses directly to people not playing because of the grind.
