Rank 1 and still toxic camping

Not like anyone can de-pip right now from rank 1 iridescent, but see rank 1 killers all the time still just face camp or do that stupid little dance around the hook of that one survivor unfortunate enough to get caught at endgame.

They don't even try something new or be sporting; gambling for more hooks and points. There is absolutely zero risk right now for doing so. They prefer to loiter around the hook with their chainsaw or noed while they take a penalty on blood points.

People man, people. Guess toxicity is just in people's blood - or maybe they've done this low rank tactic for so long they don't know anything else and this is the best they can reach.

It's unfortunate no matter how good they played during the match, everyone will only remember that camp.

Huh? It is the survivors job to come and save if they want more points. The point of camping a hook is to not leave it.

Yes, toxicity is definitely in the blood of a killer playing end game optimally. 100%. This is a scientific fact that you have discovered.

As someone who pretty frequently gets the unfortunate endgame face camp treatment (sometimes with noed) it really does suck on the receiving end. But I understand why some killers do it especially if I or someone else happened to run them for a long time. It's just personal playstyle preference.

It sucks when people get salty on either side. Hopefully you get some better matches.

It sucks, but I understand why they do it. It's the camping and tunneling from the very start of the game that annoys me.

You are delusional and clearly have never played killer if you think camping in end game is toxic

I played killer to rank 1 many times and never endgame camped. I see it as a sign of desperation and weakness. I have more pride than that.

Desperation? Probably. Weakness? I mean... Better than just giving up and letting them go. That is way more beta.

Endgame camping is fine. It's a very legitimate strategy. As survivor I may be bummed about it, but I recognize the value of the play. When I play killer I don't do it myself but everyone's different.

It has nothing to do with matchmaking, it's always been a thing and always will.

Endgame camping isn't the point I'm making - it's endgame camping right now where there is no chance of de-pip but every chance of losing points.

Actually true, i need to let them walk to the hook for free and go to the other side of the map to protect the 99% gate. Silly me.

you just said end game what do you want them to do? .... lol. ah yes the "camping" at end game when theirs nothing else to do

Bruh. Endgame camping is just how the game's designed. It's either secure the last kill (or farm more hook states from a rescuer), or just give a free escape. The devs refusing to deal with 99 gates means that camping in endgame is the only choice to make that's not actively throwing. The only exception is if you have info on where the other survivors are for a slugging play, but that requires perks specifically tailored to endgame. If you find the endgame boring, talk to the devs. It's their problem to solve.

nothing else to do at the end game so you just want the killer to let you unhook the survivor

Camping is sometimes the best play. It's up to the survivors to counter it if they can. I don't understand why both sides hate good strategy from the respective side.

They're not losing any points, blood points don't get removed for camping. They are choosing the safer gamble than running off to try to find someone else.

In this case 1 of 3 things can happen:

    1) The camped person dies, the rest of the survivors escape

    2) Survivors try to save the camped one and succeed.

    3) Survivors try to save the Camped One and fail

In cases 1 and 3 the killer ends up securing the kill, and case 3 offers the potential for another survivor to have gone down.

Just because you can't de-pip doesn't mean you can't to try to win.
