Where is the promissed option to disable AA?
Been over 1,5 years ago, its not that hard to implement a checkbox in the settings for anti aliasing.

You can "disable" AA through the configs.
However, its not a real disable, because you dont get any performance boost from it. I suspect turning it "off", just applied another post-processing effect that undoes the AA effect. Peak programming right there.

I remember them saying in a QnA stream (I would go searching for it in my discussions but I'm writing this on a time crunch) that they were looking for more in-depth graphical options being added late 2020/early 2021, which would include the ability to change whichever settings you liked instead of just presets, including AA. It's, uh, it's been a while and it isn't here.

I know I can do that. But its stupid that I have to do that this way. Especially if my friends who arent that techy might want to disable it aswell. Besides, AA isnt the only option missing in the settings.

I don't want to search through the Devs streams right now, but I do remember this promise aswell.
The Devs had changed something which stopped people from disabling AA through the configs which caused many complains. I'm not sure if they reversed the change but I do remember that they said in a stream as reaction to this outrage that they want to implement more graphic options including an Option to disable AA.

Was a dev stream, I kinda thought die hard fans like us would follow every stream at least. Especially since they make them less and less. Someone else found that link for me, hard to find that stuff

I found it hard to be excited for the streams as they changed how they were doing them.
Mainly removing the Q&A.
I understand why it made sense to remove it(repeated questions), but making sense doesn't mean i like it.
And if i don't think there's anything to look forward to in the streams then i personally don't have a reason to watch them, i'll just read a summary then.
Also i'm sorry but i'm not a die-hard fan of this game like you, nor am i of any game really: If i can't have fun anymore (and i don't mean having unfun things happen, but simply the lack of fun), then i'm done.
It hasn't happened to me for over 5 years though, so i'll give a huge compliment to the game on that.

It's bhvr. They promise so many things, and they just don't deliver. Anyone remember the promised "early game collapse" they promised on so long ago, and just never did it? Or, how about how Hoarder got it's ability to lessen rarities of items in chests, was disabled for a "bug" so they could fix it, and was just never reimplemented?

The only reason why color blind feature got added was because of their image getting destroyed but a popular twitter guy I think? So yeah unless something similar happens for AA I dont think we ever get that super simple to add checkbox

maybe @Peanits can tell us more: why is it taking to so long for a simple checkbox in the ingame settings?
