These rift challenge are very problematic...
"Kill 5 times the obsession"
If I want my obsession to be killed, I need to tunnel at one moment of the game. I just want my challenge done quick.
But obsession mean DS... so I have to tunnel hard...
"Kill 10 survivors in the basement"
If I want this challenge to be done quick I need to camp the basement. What is the best way to do that ? Using perks like Insidious, Agitation, Iron Grisp, ect...
Do I like to play like that ? No. Do I like these challenges ? No. Do I need my bloodpoints ? Yes.
The problem is : even I said in endgame chat that Im sorry and its just rift challenge, not me ; survivors keep insulting me....
I think Behaviour should stop making these camp/tunnel challenge. Please.
Have you experienced this ? Do you think there is other problematic challenges in the rifts ?

There's nemesis. Just let them get a stun on you and they will become the new obsession. That's up to 4 out of 5 done in one game

Stop concerning yourself with the opinions of strangers and grow a spine

yet here you are, concerned about someone's concern.
7 -
I'm not concerned, I'm disappointed that the thread turned out to be about the post-game chat

That's pretty concerning.

Another bad one is "fall from a great height while being chase." Aside from the fact that you can lose chase mid-fall and not get progress, half of the maps don't have a building or drop that is high enough to progress the challenge.

If you have spirit then just use rancor and hunt the obsession at the end.

Alternatively, you can use an Obsession focused build with Rancor and either Furtive Chase or Nemesis, but admittedly those challenges are not fun and do encourage tunnelling instead of happening organically like others do.
I just come from hours of frustration from trying to finish the No Mither, No Problem challenge from a previous tome. I was tunnelled in all my matches until I managed to get out in one by bloody miracle. I don't know who in BHVR is in charge of those, but I dread ever using that perk ever again.

You don't need to camp and/or tunnel the obsession. Just play the game, and kill the obsession like you would any other survivor.

It takes too long to complete the challenge if I play like that.
At the end of the game I will still focus on the obsession because the challenge told me to.
I just tried to say these challenges are toxic for the game, for both sides.

If you want efficiency, turbo-tunnel any survivor and when they DS you, they become the obsession, then kill them. Repeat and you can burn though 3 obsessions in one match. (You could also run the perk Nemesis to force an obsession change with a blind or pallet stun).

Im a survivor main and I dont have Nemesis (perk) unlocked on my main killers.
And yes I use DS as a way to kill more than one obsession in one game.
That said these challenges are not healthy for the game.

One of the challenges is 4 obsession hooks in a game. So yes you need to tunnel 1 person then hope someone else becomes it.

In the current rift maybe, but there are challenges in previous rifts that told you to kill the obsession.
Im talking about all rifts.

Does the basement stairs count?

Im aware there are some that a hook across multiple games, however there is 1 which requires it in a single game. So unless you can get all 4 to be the obsession over the game you're going to have to tunnel 1 person then hope someone else becomes it as well.

Furtive Chase, when the obsession is unhooked the unhooker becomes the Obsession, Nemesis when you get stunned or blinded that survivor becomes your obsession.
Or you can tunnel and eat a DS, or hope for a For The People.

I just use furtive chase. I think I just did a hook 8 obsessions in one game.

Sounds good until Survivors suddenly figure out what you're trying to do and then do everything possible to stop you from getting it even if it means their death. I speak from experience doing the ten Obsession kills challenge in an earlier tome. ######### that thing.

Imagine if you try to get the 3k (or i think it was 4k) with pop, bamboozle and coulrophobia, that rift challenge seems quite bad since i have to level up the clown and try to get the perks on other killers (or buy them on the shop) or play as clown.

Just don't read it.

The shortest drop that counts is one of the holes on The Game.

I agree, old tomes challenges were better and more fun.

These killer challenges basically mean you need to throw the games. But w/e, just turn chat off and get it done. This is how the company wants killers to play their game.

I was going to put furtive chase into my build to get this done but I decided to play normal. I have killed the obsession in 4 straight games and just need one more. The basement one I also played normal but if I cared to finish it quickly thats what Bubba/trapper are for. Quite frankly it's up to you to decide how you want them done.
