i dont know what's wrong with this map for me, i feel like the loops are too close to each other, too many t walls, etc.

i would like to ask for advice, how do i deal with the loops in the center of the map and in the whole map in general?, the pair of t walls and the loops with pallets right next to then...., i usually just get looped for a solid 3 gens in that part of the map, and yes, i do have experience as killer with over 4000 hours, but there is something about this map in particular that i dont know how to deal with yet, every time i get this map i get looped over and over again, i feel like the distance between each loop is way too small.

i tried play as demo, which is understandable the fact that i failed because i dont have experience with him, but then i play with bubba, which is a killer i have plenty of experience with, and fail horribly.

Is there something different on this map that i dont understand?

is there a particular way to deal with this situation?

i'd like to mention that im likely to bump 90% of the time with leatherface on this map, the same goes for other killers than can get stunlocked by a missed attack.

how can you fellow people of the fog help me?

It's one of the biggest maps in the game. There are no tips, it's just... Huge.

Which also means that the loops are rather spread out, so I really don't know what you're talking about. It's second only to Mother's Dwelling in terms of the gap between resources.

Try to 3 gen on Shelter Woods. There’s tons of open area (especially around the middle tree) on that map with few LOS breakers. So once you force survivors to eat up the resources around your 3 gen it’ll be easy to snowball.

It's one of the biggest maps in the game but it feels really small because there's almost no LOS blockers. You can see everything from across the map. I use that to my advantage as killer. If you're playing bubba all you really need is bamboozle and if you learn how to travel through a jungle gym properly you can close off vaults and force pallet drops with bamboozle.

You want to practice mind gaming with your chainsaw activated. Some loops you need to charge, activate it, and then double back without turning around (moonwalking) to hide your red stain all while the chainsaw is running full speed.

That's also a good map for hooking players on hooks near completed gens or dead zones because there's so much empty space. You can force survivors to waste a ton of time by downing them and hooking them far away from any uncompleted gens because then they have to run ten miles to make the save and then heal.

well the loops in the center are the ones im mainly worried about, people just never use the other loops.

I feel your struggle on this map. I struggle on it as well, especially as demo. Honestly other than a 3 gen, if the survivors are competent, you're not really going to win on this map with most killers. Depending on the map RNG the map can be bare to decent to well stocked in terms of pallets/resources/loops, so how difficult Sheltered Woods is varies but at its base it still can be really difficult for the majority of killers. The only exception I'd say is Blight/Nurse/a few others, because the map is so open that trying to break LOS is not really possible and they can shut down looping really fast.

My biggest advice is to just try to 3 gen and play around basement if you can.

Also another tip, try hooking in dead zones as well and proxy camping if you need to. Sometimes hooking in dead zones is better than in basement because there are no nearby resources and it's easy hits. Even shack without a pallet is still decent compared to a dead zone or with just one unsafe pallet.

Most of these tips also apply to other big maps like Mother's Dwelling, to some extent Temple of Purgation
