don’t understand why they do this ... dont fully switch on to open the gate .. leave it 99% ( gate still closed) caused me died ! “dying state”
after a great match .. killer never hit any 1 yet .. until last gen. is done then the action begin :(
he downed 1 .. then me ! then i got unhooked going fast with sprint perk .. but gate still closed at 99% ( or 97% something ) w/e
then trappee set a trap next to the power switch .
i was waiting for a survivor to deactivate that trap .. then he again refused to open the gate .. no idea why !
while i was unhooking other survivor.. then i decide to go to other gate.. i escaped from this madness
end up 2 k ...

I'm gonna assume you mean why survivors leave gates at 99%? its because it prevents egc from activating

I don't leave it 99 anymore. Seems to cause more damage more than it helps. Nothing worse then having a convoy protecting a survivor who just got unhooked but wait gate not open and down they go.

yep .. yesterday we get 2 unhooked try to protect him .. but the gate still closed at 99%😔

I just died because they 99'd the gate. Like, I get it in the correct context, but in my experience, people just do it to do it. At least they tried to heal tech me out. He still got me somehow, but I admire the attempt from Leon.
The Claudette that Deadharded and body blocked me after forcing me to open the gates myself? There is a special place for you!

If I am in a swf (very rarely) we will do it but I play mostly solo so IMO it's better to just open and try a quick rescue. Nothing I despise more than a killer getting 3-4 kills when they should have got 0-1 so try once maybe twice but if they camping or have NOED it's best to get our 3 man escape.
