Cosmetics in lobby not accurate

Two-screen setup. On the left is the game lobby, on the right is my streamer buddy's screen. Every match is like this; the cosmetics in lobby don't line up with what they're actually wearing.
The Dwight healing the Crew was wearing the Fu Crew in lobby (photo not provided), however, as you can see....

And it has again, apparently. This issue started just today for me, figured I would do my part. If anything, it just piles on.

I'd like to point out that the displayed outfits are what YOU have equipped on those characters.

Same thing. Also noted that the lobby cosmetics match what I have as that particular character's cosmetics. Game is reading your saved outfit and showing them wearing it.

Indeed, I came here to say this. Earlier today I saw Meg wearing a combo that I've never seen anyone other than myself wearing. I complimented her. She seemed confused. Then later there was a four-Nancy match and we were all wearing her "Demo hunter" (forgot the name) outfit but in-game I was the only one, everyone else had her striped shirt. Then I noticed that Mechanic David kept popping up. I realized that the cosmetics you see on the lobby screen are all wearing what YOUR characters are, even if those same characters are not in the match.

I was wondering the same thing.
At first I was surprised because other Nea had the same outfit as mine. This goes the same to all other survivors, they will have the same outfit of your survivors.

This is happening to me as well on Xbox. In lobby everyone is wearing the cosmetics that i have equipped for those characters. In game the cosmetics are correct.

PLEASE KEEP THIS BUG! It shows survivors in the lobby with the cosmetics you personally have chosen for them. As someone with legacy, this is a NECESSARY change. Please allow me to use a SKIN that won't prompt people to use tryhard sweaty builds based purely off of a skin I'm using.

I have the bug too where everyone playing the same character looks like they ahve the same cosmetics in lobby but then in game, everyone has their own outfits.
