Reduce the black pip requirement for Red Ranks
Now that there's a reward, albeit small for the time investment required, for reaching higher ranks, I think it would be fair that, while it remains tough to reach Rank 1, depipping becomes less of an issue. The current problem is that many killers are realizing they are, well, not all that good and are relegated to camping/tunnelling far more frequently. In turn, survivors eat ######### and depip with little they can do about it. This isn't an issue for the addicted lot, but for those with jobs and can't play this game religiously, it becomes immensely frustrating to be brought back to square 1 because a bunch of killers threw a tantrum.
Just make depipping a punishment for doing absolutely nothing, that way the grind for some won't be as atrocious.
Same applies to killer, as they consistently grind up, their MMR is bound to rise up. It'll make many games more difficult to handle and depips will just make this climb an absolute chore. Plus their queues are just slower overall, making it supremely awful at times.
Ranks don't mean anything other than getting a cute, little reward. I don't think it should be asinine to climb up for a light boost in BP. This won't matter to those playing this game daily, but it does to others who like this game but can't obsessively play it. (and would probably appreciate the BP boost due to this lack of time)
Before some genius says 'Hahaha may as well just give rank 1 for free amirite?', I'm pre-emptively responding with: No, but given how meh the reward is, I wouldn't mind it being made quite easier. It'd certainly help those with less time at their disposal.

Grades.
First you belittle the rewards, but then you ask for the ability to get this tiny reward be made easier. Uhh ok? If it's such an inconsequential reward why focus on it so much? Why not focus on...oh I dunno.. having fun in the game?
They have already taken away the possibility of degrading - and you want to make iri grades the ultimate participation trophy? No thanks.

Getting iridescent grade is not at all hard and is now extremely easy because of the no depips.

You can depip within your grade, but you can't de-grade. So if you have 0 pips Iri II and have a bad match you safety pip

Regardless what others said survivor emblems are bad and they should either revert them or rework them.
I have much easier time piping and even double piping as a killer. As a survivor sometimes it is fine but sometimes you get a series of games where you depip because you can't get 2 unhooks, heals, gens and long chase every single game. If you do others stay short.
It is like a jungle out there sometimes competing for unhooks and even farming teammates for pips.
Double pips are very very very rare compared to before in solo q. I don't even see decent surv streamers piping/double piping as often as before.

Because a lot of the fun is locked behind a massive grind that can be made easier with these sorts of bonuses. ESPECIALLY to those who have a life outside of gaming but still LOVE this game. The reward amounts to 4 killer games with BBQ, it is very much reasonable to call it small when devs bribe the playerbase with 300k over screwups. I'm not going to argue for a better reward because I ultimately think this is fine, but I think those that would benefit most from it could use a little help getting up there. These 'Grades' are now meaningless, they only show the amount of time spent playing.
And, the Iri Grade or whatever has always been the ultimate participation trophy. Nobody was particularly skilled or deserving for being there. I certainly wasn't when I started, lol. It meant nothing before, and it means nothing now. Maybe it does to you, or did, but not to me or others around me.
To address the removal of degrading - That's good and I fully recognize it. The issue really is that between five games you can get a wave of tunnellers/campers that annul your work and boom, back to more grinding in your limited time. Not even saying pipping should be free, just depipping not as easy to get in the current situation of the game. A rework of the emblem system would probably do wonders as Shaped has mentioned. I just think the survivor pipping is atrocious to deal with right now and the reward feels less worth it.
You make very solid points here. And I agree with killer grade advancement. The only issue is queue times since the MMR with killer lobbies. If that gets resolved and they're more like before, then yeah the pipping likely would be completely fine. Even against sweatlords you can safety pip fairly easily.

Easier to depip? How so? Emblem system hasn't changed, other than you can't de-grade, so the emblem requirements to safety or pip up are the same as it was before (ie Bronze I requirements to pip -> Rank 13 requirements to pip), as far as I know and have experienced.
