Scourge Hook: Gift Of Main Meta Changing?
I have been loving the new perk Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain. Which I am surprised I am not seeing it being talked about more, or used more.
Consider it's uses. Now M2 Killers can apply the mangled status to survivors, without having to M1 with Sloppy Butcher or use of an Add-on. Which the 9% slowdown to gen repair is simply a nice a touch, and deterrent for survivors to heal, or Survivors waste more time healing - meaning less time on gens.
Huntress you can run other add-ons than the one to add Mangled. Huntress can down Survivors with hatchets, hook them on a scourge hook. Then Survivors have to decide between being slightly slower at doing gens, and wasting the time healing, or continue being a single hatchet down against huntress. This applies for other Killers as well, like Demo, and any m1 killer. I just used Huntress as an example, because she is a really good example.
Edit;
It's also an anti-tunnel perk the Killer can take. Going after the unhook saver, or another survivor. The Hooked survivor has 9% speed penalty on gens if they heal. If they get healed they have to heal through mangled wasting more time.
It's an anti-self care in the corner perk for survivors, because it's a deterrent for self care users to waste even more time healing themselves (though I am sure many will do it anyways, but there is hoping).

The issue is the rng of where the hooks are placed. It's not a bad perk, but it's hard to get consistent value from it.

The sloppy butcher hook is decent but the slowdown is only good if you don't tunnel. I don't really find it particularly useful for that reason.

Maybe change it so that the 4 most center hooks are scourge hooks, but that would probably break it. I have found it pretty consistent. There is normally around 8 hooks to a map, so I normally can always reach a Scourge hook, unless one gets broken because of a sacrifice, and at that point I would be winning a 1v3.

I've been running it with Thanataphobia and Agitation.
Thanataphobia means that if they waste time healing to get rid of the 5% slowdown, the healed survivor now gets 9% slowdown. If you then avoid hurting this survivor again, they recieve 5% slowdown per hurt teammate on top of the 9%.
Agitation guarantees you can get your survivors to scourge hooks.
