More control over abilities and actions or not?
I've seen a few posts recently that bring up a good question with game mechanics. A survivor suggested Sprint Burst should have an activation button similar to Dead Hard, and a Plague suggested being able to cancel mid-Corrupt Purge to go back to Vile Purge to be able to infect a survivor on hook. So the question is, should players be able to have more control over gameplay by being given the ability to initiate or cancel an item/ability/perk OR is making a decision to use or not use an ability/item/perk part of gameplay and you must live through the decision you made (a consequence of your action, so-to-speak)? I can see both sides and am curious what others think.
(EDIT: I don't think it's a good idea to make Sprint Burst have an activation button, it was an analogy to show the more control aspect that could be introduced in certain areas of the game that may make more sense and more balanced than Sprint Burst and Dead Hard)

If Sprint Burst was activated on button what would be the purpose of Dead Hard? It would be like 10 times stronger.

Yeah, I wasn't specifically talking about that situation with Sprint Burst and Dead Hard. I think thats actually a bad idea, but I mean the more control in general. I guess I should've made that more clear.

Sprint burst with an activation button would basically become the strongest survivor perk in the game. It would easily replace dead hard, at the very least.
I feel like corrupt purge should infect people anyways, at least after you have hit them twice. Idk.
Generally speaking more control is always better and increases the skill gap. I am for it most of the time, but sprint burst would need compensation nerfs if you could use it on demand. It would basically invalidate every other exhaustion perk besides head on, I guess?
