Long killer queue times are ridiculous...you dont need data to see they will leave the game
30 minutes really? With killers I dont even touch...yeah and for the round to be over by a genbot squad at 5 minutes🤣🤣🤣🤣
No thank you doing my survivor daily and playing something else that doesn't punish me for playing and supporting their game.
Hopefully the next patch fixes the broken individual sbmm killer because this is ridiculous.
Anyone experiencing this? Let your voices be heard I dont think bhvr wants to lose more 🤑

Surely killer queues would be short if there was a lack of killer players right?
23 -
I stopped playing for the most part because I'm waiting 10+ minutes and I either end up with 4 pros or 4 babys and the games are shorter than q.
5 -
Ehm, longer Killer queues mean that more people are playing Killer and not the other way around.
I think you got something wrong here.
17 -
Incoherent post completely missed the point as to why killer queues are longer. Aka more people queueing at killer.
7 -
Almost every game is either 4 man or 2+2 swf. Not many killers happy with it, so i understand why ques are longer now. My longest was about 12 min, but im happy i get sound notification when game starts, so i don't care.
2 -
Survivors are leaving the game with MMR.
11 -
So are killers
3 -
There is little incentive to play killer usually these days and that combined with wait times ballooning and game times shrinking people are going to sort of just walk away.

Depends. If I try to play (central eu) killer in the morning to middle in the afternoon then yeah it takes forever while survivor games are instant.
It's the other way around during the night though, my killer queues are about 20 seconds in average.
I must say i suck tier 3 peepee as killer and probably have low Mmr so that must be why
0 -
The queues are short at lower MMR levels, and incredibly long at high MMR levels. For some reason, probably due to how SBMM takes data, there's a massive amount of killers at high MMR levels, and fewer survivors. Killers at high MMR have ridiculously long wait times.
Not sure how they are "relatively the same" as per BHVR's statement. Quite clearly not the case but maybe their target audience just isn't high SBMM level players. I have never had such massive waittimes as a killer at all times of night, and such amazing queues as a survivor in years.

This is so bull then because I'm a average killer at best and its 10+ minutes and most the time I get survivors better then me after all that weight. If I'm in the higher mmr(not highest) I know I'm not a good killer yet my mmr seems to say other wise.

I'd love to know what region these killer times run 30 minutes. Playing multiple afternoons/nights this week, I ran into 5-10 minutes wait times during the afternoon (which mirrored what I'd seen prior to SBMM being implemented) and pretty much instant games once it got to the 6:30-7 PM time frame, continuing with instant games throughout the night and into early morning. Solo Survivor wait times were pretty short during the day, but got longer during the evening/night, though it did feel like the longest waits weren't as long as they were prior to SBMM. So while other people's experiences may vary, I haven't seen a dramatic difference one way or the other. 🤷♂️

But not in high enough numbers. There are over 78k people playing on Steam right now, and that doesn't even consider however many console players.
Believe me, I truly want BHVR to suffer for this fiasco, but it doesn't appear likely to happen. If people are leaving, it isn't even a blip in the player count.

Exactly this is what is expected to be the norm...I want to believe our free time is worth more than playing lobby simulator after these changes🙄

My queues are extremely short when I play at the right time. It is just that during the day, survivor is instant. But the reverse is true, during the night, survivor queues are unbearable.
I have no idea why, I genuinely do not. But I do not think the playerbase is lacking in a role so much as you have weirdos who main a role maining a time to play as well.

The funny thing is, genbot squad games being over in 5 minutes could mean either they leave in 5 minutes, or you kill them all in 5 minutes.
Had a team this morning. Playing Legion for a daily. They sat on those gens really hard. I got Claudette on a hook. Left the hook. Downed another survivor, a second gen pops. Claudette still on the hook. I hook the second survivor. I find another survivor, chase them, down them in no time at all. Claudette dies on first hook. I hear the last survivor working on a gen, so I leave the other survivor slugged, and go and down the last survivor pretty quick. Game over all but for a lucky kobe that bought them maybe an extra minute in the game.

Does survivor Dailey refer to the daily challenges that you can have up to 3 of? Cause I haven't seen a survivor one in a long time it's all play Twins Blight or some other killer 9 dont enjoy
0 -
Right like why should I have to find something to do in my free time while waiting to do the thing I was doing with my free time? I think I explained that right
1 -
You get 300 bonus experience for your first game as killer and survivor. So I assume he is just playing one game of survivor and dipping.
But you can reset those daily missions too. Just log out after you use the daily reset if it is still a challenge you do not want to do. You can keep doing that until you get one you want to do.

I will have to try that. I'm on counsol so hopefully that works
1 -
I do this all the time tell I find one that I feel like doing.
1 -
I just saw that i was sure it was fine because im not toxic against anybody

Killer queues get longer with higher MMR, cos there's not enough survivors at high MMR. It's nothing to do with the amount of people playing - it's the amount of people *at high MMR* that's the problem.
Remember when Dowsey had hour-long queues? It's cos his MMR was so high that no survivors were on his level :')
0 -
no, Sluzzy is right, survivors are moving to killer instead, it's been proven by people who showed the people in queue in each role, specially in high mmr, where there are 10 times more killers than survivors
1 -
Just means its easier to rank up on MMR with killer than it is as survivor.
I guess its because the MMR heavily takes kills and escapes into account, and with solo-queue a survivor is largely dependent on luck whether they can escape or not.
2 -
Yah I don't think your toxic I'm just warning people because it's definitely not something you think would be a problem to discuss

Popping in with a reminder, please remember not to discuss things that are against Forum Rules, which you can find listed here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/137-forum-rules Thank you.

okey,surviovr emperor

He's warning people so the thread doesn't get deleted. It's not his fault it's against forum rules to discuss how sbmm is currently designed
4 -
I tried logging out and back in my reset didn't retrigger maybe doesn't work on xbix or maybe you have to log out immediately after reseting
0 -
I dont see anything remotely close in the forum rules saying it cant be discussed.
5 -
Yes, which is the case at mid-low MMR. I'm getting instant trials, at both sides. They really should reset the data and let it sort itself out organically, instead of using the numbers that are concentrating killers at the high end and survivors at the low.

Had an 8 minute queue as killer at 11pm UK, yet to have one under 1:30 - My survivor queues are always instant
0 -
I wonder how much of that is region-based. 🤔 I have a friend who plays on the European servers, and we've talked before about how different the experiences can be.
0 -
i think both sides are.
0 -
from what i noticed.. killer queue time ... getting longer when u are idl ... and much longer when u too busy doing web .. change ur perk .. ect ... i really don’t understand it lol
0 -
What are u talking about that You have long que with killers You even dont touch ? I dont play killers much, but...
I do play survivors, solo que, but I m meeting only Blights and Nurses ? Maybe Blights and Nurses dont have to wait long time for the game ?

This proves it is too easy to play killer while survivor you've to jump through hoops to gain anything and if you get tunneled or camp that's it you lose
0 -
Played another 3 hours tonight as killer, both with killers I rarely play and as ones I play all the time and do very well with. Pretty much instant queues every match regardless of who I used, so my experience is still pretty constant.
0 -
It's always been the same way for me since I started playing DBD years ago, and I've noticed it hasn't changed with SBMM.
Survivor during the day, instant queue times. Survivor at night, 10-20 minutes.
Killer during the day, 10-20 minutes. Killer at night? Instant.
I don't think it's anything to do with SBMM. I think it's about where you're at and your server/time zone.
During the day it's probably about even, maybe a few more killers logged in and playing. But it's mostly solo survivors in the survivor queue. So it's easy to find a match.
But at night, everyone gets off work and wants to play with their friends, so you have a ton of SWFs playing, which means more survivors logged in and not enough killers to go around. Which is why you probably also get sweatier teams if you only play at night.
I've noticed if I play killer at night, it's mostly well coordinated teams with full meta builds ready to rush 5 gens in 5 minutes. If I find a match during the day, I'm 4king constantly and the survivors have mixed builds with some perks at level 1 or 2.

If we talk about Otz and players like him, he is on tournament level, and yet he can't win against same lvl survivors. So your argument against killers being overpowered isn't valid. Yes, Nurse and Spirit needs some tuning, but mostly killers are weak and struggle against decent survivors. Also he admits his win streaks were made cause it was Elo hell. It won't happen with proper mmr.
2 -
Not really if it is prioritising sbmm over time.
1 -
I'm on xbox too, you gotta force quit DBD as soon as you delete a daily if it's nothing you want! And if you go into game and change anything (like cosmetic or buying bloodweb stuff) it will not let you try again and you will be stuck with what you got
0 -
Both survivors and killers are leaving.
0 -
It's against the rules to discuss leaks/datamined information. The SBMM requirements were found in the game files, and several threads have already been deleted when talking about that information. That's probably what they're referring to.
4 -
what steam charts?
0 -
60k players lol
0 -
As I type this 70.4K players...but yeah "dead game" and "everyone is leaving". LUL
1 -
Which rule is that? The rules that were linked don't say anything even remotely tied to that.
0 -
That doesn't even come close to the top 20 online game that have millions or tens of millions playing. I wouldn't say dead but limping. The most people they have ever had on steam was 100k and even one says pc out numbers console (I agree) 150k thats tiny if you think about 4/5 of that have to be survivors.
