So what is the incentive to play killer right now?
Honestly not worth the stress, the lies of individual killer sbmm, the long lobby waits, etc.
The BP you earn can be earned in the same amount of time you wait in 3 quick gen rush matches.

There really hasn’t ever been. The game was been survivor sided for almost its entire life span. Killer is way harder, and is way more stressful and anger inducing. Only like 4-5 killers are truly viable at high MMR, the rest are mostly laughable and the devs don’t seem to care too much. So really nothing, am I still gonna play killer cause I enjoy the challenge? Yes

If you are in an area with poor weather this is a great place to camp.
If you broke a shovel on some rocks it's an even better place to tunnel.

I was a consistent rank 1 killer for years. And I just got back into the game, I’ve gotten my mmr pretty high on legion, so I think so.

Really? All my killers, including neme and pin head who I didn't play prior, have the same insane sweaty survivors.

Personal preference. It may be miserable for killer because the game's so survivor sided, but it's the mentality that makes people want to play killer. They want to be the 1 in the 1v4, to challenge themselves.

It's still fun to play killer, you just need to learn to relax. I've switched to roughly 50k/50s, these days, versus 2/3 of my games being killer.
Do challenges, try to learn about the game - see what rocks you can zoom to with a killer lunge.

I'll say Bloodpoints. 1 game of Killer with BBQ and an Offering is nearly 100k BP. Survivor is not even close to that, especially if you gen rush which gives you less points overall.

It makes sense though. If you're high MMR on a Killer, you've probably got the fundamentals down and can play any Killer at a basic level. They probably want to prevent noob-stomping by switching to a Killer you never play, but still lowering the rating a bit to help out. Idk seems fair to me.

All I can say is that there is more than one reason they are deleting posts about that "leak." As a lower mmr player, it was extremely easy to verify that as false.
Maybe higher mmr players just have more work to undo. The system clearly boosts people as per the same leak. I would take it with a grain of salt.
I went from needing survivors to stand at the exit gate to get my Nurse daily done to being able to 4 man slug win games with her as a console player with like 3 games under my belt. Trust me, there is a HUGE difference once it normalizes.

10 matches worth of difference only? Don't think so. Killer viability is closely related to power mastery. You could make this argument for Bubba and Freddy, but the average killer that have a higher barrier of entry? 110% and lower killers? That goes straight out the window.

I play as killer roughly 25-35 percent of the time. Do I need to adjust my comments on this forum to be 25-35 percent complaining to accurately reflect this?

It isn’t though. As Nurse I can usually do well. That MMR then transfers to a killer like Nemesis or Pig and I get stomped because those killers have literally no chance at a high level. It is completely unfair.

Nothing else scratches the itch unless an improved clone comes out. Every asymmetrical game out there but DBD seems to want to give the ability to attack the killer to the survivor side which defeats the whole point/fantasy aspect of it. Every round that I saw of Home Sweet Home looked like it ended with all of them whacking the killer with swords and stuff.
Also with how borked balance is, it feels like I truly earn a win with a killer and every loss I get is just survivors being toxic in a swf exploiting imbalances in the game/engine/stretched res/bugged map offerings etc etc ;)

the answer would be "because i enjoy it and i have fun" but to be honest, after you spend some time in the game, you unlock alot of stuff(killers,perks) and you know what's going on, it's really hard to enjoy being the killer.
_if you don't use meta perks: gens will literally fly and the last gen is done in less than 3-4 minutes(even less with a squad)
_if you don't use meta killers, it's basically a disadvantage at this point because most of the killers are just a joke, maybe fun to play, but extremely inefecctive.
_ "try to have fun, don't get mad if you don't get 4 kills", ah yes, not a big problem, the big deal are the survivors, that start tbagging/clicking after they stun you one time, and if you're playing against a squad(not even a full squad) and they have meta perks, it's going to be a pain for you, not to mention the tbagging at the exit gate or the toxic behaviour of the survivors while ingame and at the end of the match......
_as i said, this game balance is...non existencial, and the sooner you'll accept it, the less painfull will be, there is no balance in this game, that's why i no longer get mad when i play as killer and everyone manages to escape...Dbd ISN'T a competitive game, and never will be, so, it's kinda normal for killers to lose, bacuse of the trash abalnce.
long short answer on why i cna't have fun anymore witht he killer:
; Bugs everywhere__some killers are a big joke and non viable(most of them)__more bugs__hex totems are garbage because the spawn locations are extremely bad in most of the maps(90% of the times) they literally spawn in the open/near a gen/on a hill/ in the middle of the most common "looping places"/near a surv after spawning__bugs everywhere at every pacth__MM is sh*t__SWF squads are a serious problem and it's out of control__survivors spawning together most of the times even without offerings__surv spawning right in front of a gen__genrushing is a concrete problem, not to mention that it takes you seconds to regressing a gen( and the regerssion speed is even slower) meanwhile it takes milliseconds to survivors to interrupt regression and make in vain the seconds you spent for that action__Mori are a joke now__too many bugs__AND the devs that obviously and utterly are Survivor sided, alongside The survivors Themselves with all their toxicity and "entitlement".

I like how some killers are designed (Spirit, Plague), or their special ability (Nurse, Ghost Face, Doctor), or lore (Freddy, Myers, Pinnhead).
So I play them no matter if they are meta or not.

The stream was a little over 10.5 hours.
I don't share my Twitch name on here any more due to the juvenile behavior of quite a few forum members who would constantly come into the stream with racist and homophobic comments. I made an alt account after dealing with banning forum members every other stream. There are a lot of Twitch Affiliates/Partners with alt forum accounts unfortunately due to continual harassment from forumites.
The stream was a lot of fun - having to switch from one playstyle to another every match. I still do not like playing Twins or Blight though.
