I Don't Understand the Mentality

Why would the devs make killers that are not powerful? Why can't they be good, AND fun?

No offense and I love these devs to death, but that may have been the stupidest thing to say/do for the community.

I mean really, how can anyone say that with a straight face. 

Hillbilly - Fun and powerful
Nurse - Fun and Powerful
Spirit - Very fun and Pretty strong

My opinion of the devs really took a blow when they said this. Asymmetrical games should strive to be as balanced as possible

    Were you there, when they said we should play the different game if we feel that killer playing killer is frustrating and unfun?

    People keep bringing this up like it's a bad thing.

    When I'm frustrated with something I take a break and do something else, I think it's refreshing that a developer of a game can accept that some parts can be frustrating and offer advice to play something else rather than getting angrier and angrier doing the same thing.

    Refreshing doesn't fix it though.
    Rather than leaving frustration there and recommending other games, the aim should be to make it not frustrating.

    It's a bad line for business as well.

    But also, as we've seen with DS/Freddy, if they say something on stream they'll have it brought up every day until it's done, this just creates more negativity and frustrations because they haven't done what the players expect.

    There's been several killer buffs this year, certainly changes that made killing easier and the updates were made after that comment, so while he did say that, they were of course working on things behind the scenes to make it easier.

    Who said they want more transparency? The devs.
    To avoid confusions, misunderstandings, frustrations etc.
    Which is good.
    So changes that will heavily affect the players shouldn't have a behind-the-scenes.

    and they are transparent, they've said they're working on Freddy/DS but not going into specifics yet, they always are working on making the game less frustrating, so it's expected content they shouldn't have to talk about constantly.

    If they we're telling us about every minor thing they were changing they'd have no time to talk about anything.

    You just simply can't expect them to go over every single thing they're working on, they say things like DS/Freddy and that's all we need to know, we don't need to know every change and I'm sure they'll be great when we PTB test them.
