Is Pinhead Worth Leveling Up and Playing?
So I've always liked control based killers like Freddy and pig (more of a stealth killer but still has built in slowdown with the beartraps), but for a while have wanted one with more of a skill ceiling. Considering this, is Pinhead a killer I should be leveling up and playing, or should I put my bloodpoints into someone else? I currently am busy with grad school so my time to grind BP is limited. Besides Freddy and Pig the other killers I have P3 Level 50 are Blight, Spirit, and Oni. Spirit and blight were not for me but I do have fun with Oni because of his ability to generate a lot of pressure while also still having M1 fundamentals incorporated into his playstyle.

His active chain power doesn't feel like it does much. It can slow down pallet use during a chase or scout a gen further away, that's about it though.
The lament box on the other hand, active chain hunts are great. Plus, having a survivor oblivious holding it is nice if you go for a build that focuses on chasing them down to get the box.

You almost have to level him to get that dank hoarder/franklins combo. He is useless without chain hunt. But with it? I assume that is what survivor mains are crying about. Hopefully they aren't complaining about base Pinhead. But I wouldn't be surprised.

His power is high risk and randomly between high and no reward his secondary power is alright
I would say try other killers before this one if you have the option he needs more time to marinate

Leveling up for the perks? Yes.
For playing? I’d say no. His power is very boring to use.

His chains are an absolute pain. It's understandable if the chains break more easily against the environment, but Pinhead himself can also break the chains if he crosses through them, which happens all the time. He's the only killer that can sandbag his own power.

His main power is situational, but his passive adds a lot of pressure and control.
He has a very strategical approach and I enjoy that !

Trapper's the only one who can rescue survivors from his own grasp with his own power though :P

I think it's worth getting every killer to at least lvl 50, with some perks. Then decide from there if it's worth dumping millions of BPs into them or not.

As someone who has dumped a lot of time into him, no.

He is pretty #########.

His power is high skill low reward so he can feel unsatifying to play.

I like playing as pinhead. His chain can be painful for you as far as aiming and learning. I still don’t have the hang of him fully he can be a lot of fun. Just don’t play him seriously for a long time.

Not until they add back his voice lines

Yes, but be warned. He's unintuitive to play. The box is your biggest priority, so box solving and portal rang add-ons are the best combo to go with (chains resets box solving from scratch). HIs turn rate add-ons are trash that don't do anything. Survivors at least feel like they can still turn faster than the chain can.
The box spawns where both you and the survivors aren't, so you can search for it early game, and hover around that type of area mid/late-game to poach the box. I highly recommend Franklins since it'll cut your chase time to get the box by more than half. Hoarder is something a lot of Pinheads like. I think you can deal without it TBH.

I feel that the chain hunt being deactivated when the cube is picked up is the worst mechanic. After about 10 to 20 seconds of the hunt it gets picked up again. Been playing him a week now, definitely the part I hate the most, also his chains don't interrupt, so they usually power thru them when opening the gate.

Pinhead is the ultimate item eater. The box? The toolbox? The Medical Box?
"Oh no tears please. It's a waste of good suffering."

I consider him to be very weak.
・The reach of the attack is noticeably shorter than the others
・Summons of Pain is basically useless
・CH is difficult to activate, and even if it is activated, it ends immediately
I feel that he needs to make some adjustments.
The only time field control works is when you're up against a survivor who doesn't know his gimmick.
When you're dealing with a survivor who understands you, you can't control them.
But it's an interesting killer, that's for sure.

That was just the lunge bug, which they have since fixed, I believe. His range is the same as everyone else. Or at least it is supposed to be if that bug is still not addressed.
