Hook timer visibility to Killers
Killers should not be able to view the hook timer, just like they can’t see how many hook states a survivor has individually. It defeats the purpose of perks like Camaraderie and it actually promotes camping and griefing as well. They can’t see a survivors Endurance time limit, they count in their heads, same with Decisive Strike. It requires mental work, but they can still circumvent being visually given the information by estimating, with hooks this isn’t the case. If a survivor is 20 seconds or less from death and hasn’t been rescued, the killer can see it with the bar next to the survivor and when they walk back to the hook they can essentially guarantee a death. If they see the hook timer pause, it lets them know that someone with Camaraderie is nearby, thus acting like a BETTER version of the Whispers perk to them with a shorter range.

Removing the hook timer isn't going to stop camping.
It's valuable to the killer to force the next hook state if survivors leave the survivor on hook long enough and I don't see why that information needs to be removed from killers. If survivors don't give themselves enough time to unhook someone that is on them.

The reason it should be removed is because it assists in the act of camping. The same could be said about the hook states. The devs specifically made it to where the killer sees hook states as a whole, and not on an individual level like survivors are able to see for each other. Killers can of course still tunnel and camp someone who’s on death hook, but being able to specifically see WHO is on death hook is far too specific and would promote tunneling even further. Killers can indeed camp, but they wouldn’t know for how long they could camp. The timer itself promotes the behavior because it’s the same way a survivor looks at the bar when repairing a gen, healing, or cleansing a totem.
Your point does have merit but why conceal some information but not the rest. It just seems like something that was overlooked when developing the new info overlay.
Killers aren’t allowed to see the deep wound timer progress either because it has information that can be abused

I can tell based on entity animation (1st stage), so I couldn't care less. But I don't think there is need for that, players will camp anyway, if they want to.
Do you really want to take away pleasure of making fun of noobs, who missed skill check on hook?

That is quite funny. Especially when someone was almost there for the save 😂

Given that the timer for a stage is always the same unless camaraderie is in play, there is no reason to hide it as the killer knows the time.
Same goes for the survivor hooks as there's no real reason to hide it as the killer should always know it.

A camper is going to just camp whether they see it or not. The only thing this would do is punish killers who force hook states when the survivor was abandoned most of their hook state.

While we are at it, how about removing all info survs get about hexes and debuffs?
Myers didnt down a survivor yrt, they can hear rhe jingle and count how long exposed is active.
You dont need to know youre under the effect of thana, just watch the gen bar go slower. No need for the colors and icons either. /s
Ugh. If theyd started removing enemy info theyd need to do it on both sides. And survivors actually risk losing more than killers.

You mean like game tells you that killer has undying, when you go close totem... That seems right.

How about they remove info from survivors? U don't know how much time your friends left, u don't know if u have trauma or any other debuff and should figure it out by yourself. Sounds fair.
