If killers get worse after the addon changes what will you do? Will you still play killer and defend dbd?🤔
Some killers need their best addons to play at a higher sbmm level and I guarantee most of those will be nerfed (wraith,hag,oni, spirit, blight)
I am excited one way or another because it will be entertaining🤣

they just nerfed all addons to hear gens being repair louder and louder footsteps that get counter by iron will, can’t wait for killers to have no variety in play style, just look at trapper addon, he can’t pick up traps anymore. Who is going to run over the same trap twice? and you still got to go reset it lol

I, for one, look forward to the addon purge. Pyramid Head has zero great addons, and the only ones that EVER see any actual play are the ones that slightly extend your shockwave range (which, are actually bad to run because they train to to over-estimate his reach, making you miss more when you don't run them).
Throw out every single PH addon and re-make 'em from scratch, I say.

Well I play nurse without addons, because it's the hardest way to master her and I wouldn't like that my efectiveness relied on something like addons.

I don't rely on addons this much. Most of the time I just use brown addons.
Does someone really want to have their MMR maxed? There absolutely no point to use best addons to play against sweatiest survivors. You don't get any rewards for that. You can't even realise that you at highest mmr because it's hidden for everyone.
Point of mmr is getting equal opponents and have comfortable games. Sweating your ass to have sweatier opponents is beyond my understanding.

All add-ons with unconditional effects(Such as all overheat effecting add-ons) now make billy's chainsaw only injures instead of putting them into dying.
Speed limiter also now halves your movement speed while using the chainsaw. This makes you have normal movement speed while chainsawing.
Don't underestimate the power of bad ideas!

You can be sure that the changes to the strong Add-Ons will be justified. Most Killers on this list have a few way too strong Add-Ons, with other Killers it is quite clear that they will also get Buffs (e.g. Hillbilly or Ghostface).

All I know is that the strongest add ons of every killer on that list are getting changed.
Its concerning with pig because as much as tempered timer could use a nerf, if they dont buff her basekit it will be a joke. Same with myers and tombstones

I'm worried about the Pigs addon changes... so I'll be using those addons first (If I can ever play killer again)
Cause we all know that her two strongest addons are Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears (those two are going to be gutted)
And her Combat Straps might see a change (IDK if it'll be a buff or a nerf)
Also the Interlocking Razors are going to get a change due to them not being used

It’s more that you post several threads per day talking about how killer is ######### and weak and unfun and you’ve switched to survivor and/or are taking a break from the game, but it just doesn’t seem very believable. If you were that disgruntled and on the verge of quitting you wouldn’t post so many threads whining about survivors IMO.

I don’t use addons so it doesn’t matter to me with exception to Trapper. I do hope they don’t screw too many killers out of playability though.

To be honest, I'm excited for Pig's add on changes. Yeah sure, Tampered Timer is probably going to get nerfed, but I never ran that add on anyway. I always thought trying to force head pops was scummy and not fun. On the flip side, all of her add ons that modify the box skill checks are useless. Most of the Status Effects inflicted by hats add ons are unless you're planning to tunnel. Basically I only run Straps + Syringe for ambush or Last Will + Jigsaw's Annotated Plan for slowdown.
In short, Pig's add ons have a lot of room for improvement and only really that one spot to get worse. So I'm pretty hopeful about this.

Tampered Timer wasn't meant for "forcing" head pops... It forces the Survivor to look for Boxes to take the Trap off
Unless the player wants the head pop... don't blame the Killer for the players choices
if you don't play scummy that's all that matters... I have ran Tampered Timer before and had both: head pops and Survivors getting the Trap off

Actually I have taken a break I was playing survivor for a bit but man is it boring...there are only so many matches you can play without variations.
I am passionate about playing killer because that is where the diversity comes in this game but sbmm was designed to be pro survivor.
If individual killer sbmm worked like it should I should be able to play killers I haven't touched vs green ranks (the highest I usually got with the old system except for one rank 6 month) but it pairs me with people way above what I am supposed to handle.
I Haven't been playing recently you are right...there comes a time when you weigh the pros and cons of using your free time...this game in it's current state is not a good use if you play killer. It doesn't mean I am quitting the forums though.
If the changes do damage the game further I am only going to play survivor until I uninstall...new horror games are coming and my money will go to what makes it worth my time to play.

If you actually read the patch notes, it says they're changing the add-ons that mostly never get played because they're so weak. Why would they take the only add-ons that get played, the strong ones, and get rid of them. You're just assuming that because they nerfed spirit that they're nerfing everyone's add-ons.
TBH I don't think they'll touch the scratch mirror or the tuft of hair add-ons for Myers, cause they get used a lot. They'll probably change is other purple mirror and the yellow and brown add-ons that affect the tier 2 stuff.
But right now it's all speculation and not worth getting worked up over. We don't even know if all of the spirit changes are gonna stick past the ptb.
