Killers are ruining the Game
I don't know what is going on, but 6 out of 10 games are now just being given away by the killers. It is literally almost expected now that the killer will more than likely just hang out doing nothing and let the survivors do their generators, totems, and other things. I don't get it. There is nothing fun about that. A lot of blood point earnings and emblem points rely on the killer's literal participation.
There are so many survivors that are "in it" with the killer, which also ruins the experience. I seriously want to know what is going on with the game now. it's not fun.
Can the game devs please come up with a way to undo this? I will continue playing the game, but there is just no anticipation anymore because of how frequently survivors help the killers and how frequently the killers just let you have the game and do nothing. It's frustratingly obnoxious and is seriously ruining the game experience.

If I had to hazard a guess, it's probably because people are terrified of getting to high MMR and will do anything to avoid it.
Even AFK for the entire day.

If that's the case, then the whole idea of MMR is what is ruining the game and the game devs need to take it away.

There are multiple people on this forum who suggest not to sweat and ruin mmr. Mb we should find them and ask why?

I mean, hey, if high mmr were fun, maybe. But I have experienced it with my Freddy and that can stay a Freddy exclusive experience. I do not mind playing super duper nice and happy friendly killer if it means I can avoid that hell hole.

Killers are ruining the game? Well how about we get rid of them and now...oh wait the game needs killers.
Survivors dont like it when killers dont play the game but they also dont like it when killers do play the game.
If efficient survivors didn't make games end in ~5mins then killers would probably try more. If those survivors didnt demand that everyone escapes if the killer had a bad game with 1-2 hooks because they cant fight against fast gens then it'd encourage the killer to try harder next game.

Survivors will do anything they can to speed through a game and get out asap with as fiew hooks as possible, even if the game lasted 5 mins or less
But once the killer stops participating in this scenario, now they are the bad guys for doing this, especially with an MMR making the game more unfun then ever 🤔

I play like this for the last two years. I go for the 2 hooks each if the round lasts that long and then goof around if the survivor still didn't manage to finish the gens given this awefully soft pressure. Or i start killing them when they take too long.
I always give last survivor hatch except when i try to go for the last few adepts. (Hag game on rpd by survivor map offering only ended in brutal yesterday thanks to silver chaser -.-)
Let me ask you this, why should I try to "win" when all it gets me are harder trials against lobbies with increasing chance of getting full 4 men's that only "chill" with the advantage of preselected teammates and coverage of 10+ aura reading perks via comms?
I play to provide a certain amount of action but only to the degree where I don't sweat. And if the survivor take all the control from me aka they are all better at looping and then even try to deny the hook attempt by group bodyblocking, then i simply have no drive to play against that.
One side can chill with friends while the other has to juggle attention between 16 objectives (4survivor, 7 gens and 5 totems depending on if hex perks are used).

Its also funny to say that killers are ruining the game but if a survivor doesn't want to play anymore they can intentionally get caught and kill themselves on hook and screw every other person wanting a normal game.

Except before, we had de-ranking. So no, MMR doesn't cause this. Smurfing happens no matter what system you use.

Getting high MMR just to get shitstomped by competent SoloQ/SWF with all meta perks, medkits, OP map offerings for bad Killer maps like RPD, Haddonfield, etc is the polar opposite of fun.
I understand some may see this as Killers wanting W's handed to them but I mean come on, there is so much garbage at high level play the Killer has to deal with, it is actually very stupid and not fun at all. People want to play a game, not get steamrolled or be forced to sweat their balls off just to get clicked and tbagged.
It's just not fun. High level Killer isn't fun, DBD is sadly not a balanced game at high level. With stuff like Boon totems coming this is not changing either, apparently. Killers gain new objectives whereas Survivors can mindlessly power through Gens without a thought going through their mind while the Killer is eating pallets on The Game like a fat kid in a cookie store.

It changed the cap, though. Deranking to purple or whatever didn't stop you from running into full red rank swf. Deranking to low mmr gives you lots of bad players and beginners unless you run into other derankers.
I actually did run into people who were clearly not the low mmr survivors I usually face. They were trying to bully me with head on, flash bangs, whatever. I was struggling to get my BBQ stacks, mostly because I suck at Legion and it was the swamp. All they need to do is duck in the grass and I literally lose them. My eyesight is SO bad, bruh.
But after they rushed gens and triggered end game collapse, they refused to leave. I got a 4 man entity fatality. Lol. Even when Deranking, survivors dictate what happens. Fancy that.

Game devs are letting the game get away from them by letting survivors control the entire experience with their bitching, pissing, and moaning.

Im just increased my SBMM and all matches today were full tunnel the first guy that died at 3 Gen. Cant complain about survivors have to Gen rush at that point. Eventhough me & other 2 escape. There was no fun in any of those match. Slam Gen & escape

It's not killers which are the problem - it's certain players who, for whatever reason, decide to just not play the game and instead sit around. The same reason these people who choose to play killer this way are the same types of people who play survivor and suicide on hook or just sit around.
If people play normally as they want to, it'll work out. Those who hang around doing nothing will probably make it worse for themselves, due to not knowing how many losses they need or how long they are needing to be in the game for.

If sbmm works than balancing for the top down would as well. Top players would have a better experience and everyone else would be paired with others of their same abilities.
The arguments against top level balance in fear of oppression wouldn't hold if sbmm works.

If they are scared to lose or whatever they just need turn off the game instead loading in for nothing just yesterday I had 2 afk killers and 3 killers that farmed and 1 of those 3 who was farming just gave up right away without even trying just because it's rpd map like I don't get it why ppl are playing this game if they're scared of losing just go play sims or something

Agreed. I quit the moment 3 gens get done in less than 2 minutes. I turn away and watch the wall and hit the button and they lose a pip. Because rushing Gens last time I checked wasn't enough to rank up.

I honestly don't understand why companies do that. Why balance around the group that don't really pay attention to how strong something is or how weak something is? I can understand the fun aspect but that's just a everyone thing not a casual thing. If anyone can explain why please do.

Survivors dictate everything in this game. They can destroy your perks, deny you of perks, rob you of hits through poor killer fov and slight wiggles, sabotage hooks, stun you over and over. It's their game to lose no matter what.

You think the game could be balanced if survivors played in first person also or instead of killers? Survivors have a lot of leeway because of their field of view.

Killer fov should just be increased. Survivors can see killers over hay bales and stuff, but the killer can't see someone who's crouched in front of them. Shadowborn should be basekit, as an fov setting, not a perk.

This the opposite to what I'm experiencing
Every day I'm getting at least two killer DCs
Most matches killers tunnel and or camp.
Killers knocking 2/3 people down and leaving them downed.
Most are using the perk where you can see survivors for 4 seconds after hooking.
Ruin is now pretty much base kit for how many killers have it.

This sentence perfectly presents the current situation.
When the killers are working hard to hone their skills, when the survivors pursue interesting pursuits, and practice using windows and Pallets, using the advantages of the environment to interact with the killers, the officials chose to punish these people.
And reward those survivors who don't hone their skills and don't cooperate with teammates.
I agree that the game needs a lot of adjustments and updates, but it should not move in this direction.
