Remove the Raccoon City map
Who thought it was a good idea to create a map that is essentially a difficult-to-navigate, multi-level maze? I cannot understand what the designers of this map were thinking, or how it was released in it's current form.
The other multi-level maps are organized in a way where you can figure out how to get to a destination. It's possible to find a flight of stairs or a hole in the floor, and move in the direction of an objective.
In Raccoon City you see auras that appear close, but navigating to them is a convoluted mess. There are multiple dead ends. There are only a few vault locations, making certain perks almost useless. Are we expected to memorize the floor plan to make this map playable? This map feels like an April Fools joke on the players.
I suggest the map be removed completely. At least give us an option to removing it from our personal rotation.

i love this map and think people need to stop complaining and learn it. I've had great experiences on it as both killer and survivor. The issue is that people refuse to learn it.

No. I LIKE IT for both sides.

Agreed.

I like RPD. My favorite indoor map.

You guys are biased Resident Evil fans if you actually like that map. It's beautiful but horrible for gameplay. I disconnect on that map.

what proof do you have? every game ive had on there ive had a great experience. People lack knowledge and refuse to learn it. Including yourself

I think this map is hard, but even if you start to play a new game (like CSGO, you will still need to learn the map, the tricks and how to navigate, sure you have a minimap but if you are new you won't know how to use it as good as a normal player).
and the RPD map itself is very nice (I still can't navigate in it properly) but I think they did a good job on the replicate of the map from RE I loved the rework of the game and I loved how accurate the map is in DBD.
personally I don't think it needs to be removed (but a banning map should be a thing)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your problem is that u refuse to learn map and instead of *git gut* u choose to drop it.
What a honorable teammate. I hope i never meet u in my games.

Me "learning" it is out of the question. It's a horrible map.

Its subjective and an opinion not fact. A bad opinion lol

RPD being bad is a fact. It's horrible to navigate, even when you know the map, and the pallets are terrible. It also doesn't have enough windows. It's a terrible map for both sides.

You've provided no proof and are still just saying your opinion

If I made a poll and had every DBD player vote on whether the RPD map should stay, I can bet most people would say remove it.
I cannot understand how someone can like that map. I'm a huge Resident Evil fan but I will agree that RPD does not belong in DBD.

Yup and i'm willing to bet 99% of those players just regurgitated thier favorite streamers opinion or refused to learn the map

I actually didn't agree with any streamers opinion and in fact thought I would like RPD. When I played on it, I quickly realized how much I really do hate that map. Believe me, I don't mind any other map that most people hate, like Lery's, Midwich, and Haddonfield. This is the only one I hate so much to where I will disconnect if I get sent to that map.

wow you've 100% convinced me now go tell other people you gospel

i think both floors should be a seprated map so you have 2 types of the same map but you can get 1f or 2f

Never played RE, but I don't find the map too bad to navigate now. Only thing I struggle with is getting from the rear courtyard back to the center, feels like there should be another doorway around there.
Hawkins still comes out on top for indoor maps though, and anything is still better than Midwich.

Interesting comparison. I guess I don't think of DBD like CSGO, I can figure out every other DBD map as I play it. I don't have to memorize a floor plan.
And yes, they copied an RE map into DBD, that was just a really strange decision because the two games are totally different.

I haven't played RE in my life and I really like the map, but I admit it's way too big and too confusing, especially for newer players.

Ok I agree with OP when they say it's a Maze because IT IS....certain killers are at major disadvantages when on that map....Billy and have you seen the Blight on it....its both funny and sad....he bounces around so much I let him down me....and onto the killer side....its a pain to navigate if your not a stealth killer

i couldnt agree more worst map to play on she is good....for resident evil.

Everyone hates this map. It should be reworked.

I am not even a resident evil fan I barely have even played them. But I still like the challenge of learning.
I hardly ever get that map and WOULD lile to play it more I always get that new coldwind farm crap it's okay But I would prefer the previous
I never have had issues staying connected to the map.
I ACTUALLY bring my self there as killers to get better at it for both a survivor and killer aspect and how to learn to avoid all types of killers by watching the usual reds I get. Funny stuff sometimes happens.

I’ve never played Resident Evil but I like this map. Yeah I get a little lost sometimes but otherwise the map seems pretty fair, the pallets are mostly gameable and the lighting isn’t too bad. (I’m speaking as a killer only player.) And it has a good look to it.

The map looks beautiful and it has a beautiful aesthetic but gameplay wise it's horrible and I do know the map but the hook spawn is very bad as an example, you can't easily stand in a place with no hooks just because the hook spawn is determined by meters by each other but there are parts where yes, the hook is there but you need to turn around half the map to reach there due to the map layout. A lot of loops are ultra safe making it impossible to mind game. And yes, you had great games, cool.I did as well but that doesn't make it a great map for DBD, the map is good for RE but on DBD it doesn't really work. The only problem is that survivors get lost as well and that's the main reason a killer get good games mostly on there since survivors don't learn the layout.

I like it.
And it is not so incredibly difficult as stated.
2 -
i think the majority of the community would be happier if that map got removed
2 -
I don´t think so.

RPD and Midwich might not be the best maps, but it's nostalgia. I'm happy spawning in to these maps you just feel at home.

It's one of the map i'm good at dodging nurses. Learn it, its not that bad. who even gets lost in it after 10 games?
