Thank you bhvr π what changes did you like or dislike from the updates?
I am stoked about the hatch change and built to last change could be meta changing. I have a reason to come back.
How about the rest of you?π

BTL is meta chaging if people like medkits. It is REALLY bad with toolboxes. I made a post on it with commodus, spool and scraps.

Like pretty much anything except deathslinger.
Like he needed changes but those are an awefull amount of nerfs with nothing to compensate for them.
Overall good changes though.

Hatch and keys are great and fair and there is nothing wrong with that.
Plague changes seem cool, could care less about the Cowboy.
No Mither buff will at least make matches in which people use them a little more bearable, really hate how they are condoning the restrictiveness of the perk because people want it to be "hard mode".
Blindness on Mindbreaker is weird, but i'll take it I suppose.

Iβm 50/50 when it comes to the built to last change. I mostly play survivor but gen speeds are already pushing it and combining BTL with Inner Strength is going to be pretty insane. Plus even in its own, there are plenty of scenarios where standing in a locker for 12 seconds has limited of any impact on your ability to do gens. Also the burst speed that toolboxes give you can make or break games at pivotal moments and this ca far outweighs the 12 seconds of standing around.
Itβs going to be fun to come up with some crazy gen rush builds but itβs going to feel a bit cheap at the same time.

Windows not having a cooldown is a good change

I think the deathslinger changes are rather shortsighted. I get that heβs insane in 1vs1 but itβs compensated for by his terrible map pressure. His bad maps will probably be horrendous to deal with and I really think he needs something to help his map pressure as compensation.

I like all of them. Really excited

Adore the changes to Any Means Necessary and Windows of Opportunity. The fact that now you can run the first one without the second is huge, and the cooldown on WoO made no sense so yeah !
Like the trapper changes, feels like the Spirit and Deathslinger are getting hard nerf (especially him), Plague buff is ok i don'"t have an opinion i don't play her that much ^^

As a severe Med-kit user BTL will be something I look at to enter my build.....Doubt it stays like this though it's too strong right now in game's current state.
Slinger - I'm sorry but they can't add all these nerfs to a killer with no map presence. Most maps are way to big and now he can't end chases very well because everything in this game seems to need to be telegraphed to the survivors. I try to never throw shade in this way I try my best to not be bias towards any side (hard sometimes) but seems like killers are already in bad spots with MMR/gens/maps/totem spots/ etc. I truly believe they will fix/revert at least one thing since they did to Spirit who is stronger than him even with the dust.
Outside of that rant (Sorry try not too) I like the switch up in add-ons/perks just to get a fresh spin on the game.

I hate most of the change i like 2 change only and they are on trapper and the hatch/key the rest for me are a huge survivor buff.
After reading all of that i know for sure i wont be playing for a while its kinda sad because they work really hard for that update but i cant see enough positive for the killer side of thing.

Reducing the Spirit nerf is a good decision, it shows that they are listening to the feedback.
I am really happy about the key and hatch changes. I've had way to many matches ruined recently by keys.
Windows of Opportunity is my survivor crutch perk so I'm really happy the cooldown is going.

Disappointed they listened to the hive mind and already took out Spirit nerfs. Just shows which side can throw temper tantrums and get their nerfs booted.
Happy keys got severely nerfed.

Most of the changes looked pretty good.
Deathslinger's changes are beyond terrible and will ruin him. I'm really really hoping they walk back most of the changes or give him some meaty compensation buffs since the man was not overpowered in the slightest.
Hatch spawn mechanics didn't need to get messed with. Just keys.
But... to be honest, even if every other change was good, the Deathslinger change is so bad to possibly spoil the whole patch for me.

I like every change that made a weak Add-on or Perk stronger, no matter how big or small the increase in strength is.
Now if a change factually made something OP that's a different story, i just simply prefer seeing buffs than nerfs.

I'll wait for the patch to see, but it's possible they over-nerfed Slinger. He's my most hated killer to go against, don't get me wrong, but he wasn't overpowered because he sucks in the 1v4, and he needs buffs in that regard. They also didn't seem to address that certain weaker pallet loops are totally irrelevant against him because he can just drag you around the structure after shooting you from the complete opposite side of the pallet.
I already use Windows of Opportunity a lot of the time, and I genuinely think it makes me a much better and more efficient survivor than any other perk by an order of magnitude (excepting possibly the potential of Dead Hard, which I don't use because it's bullshit). Not to mention I almost always used it with Open-Handed, which I won't have to anymore so I can use another perk. I'm honestly worried that as far as a single survivor can go, this buff will make me OP because I'll have basically perfect environmental information about where I can go and what I can safely get away with.
I'm extremely excited to see how the Built to Last buff plays out. I'm incredibly eager to see more perks enter the level of being semi-close to meta. My fear is that people will panic about it like they did Lucky Break and it'll get needlessly nerfed (notice how you barely see Lucky Break even though it's pretty strong?)

Isnt it mostly a tradeoff with toolkits? You give up 12 seconds of not working on a gen to hop in a locker then get back on the gen to use the toolbox.

Pretty sure it was so slingers wouldn't do a quick shot without aiming and not giving the survivor time to dodge.
The terror radius I feel is a worse nerf

Minus Slinger nerf and the chance of no new map update. This chapter looks awesome

Why else would you use no mither though? I guess a meme build of no mither resilience dead hard and prove thyself with toolboxesπ
0 -
Yeah it does depend on which killers you use...spirit and slinger mains are the ones hurt the worst so far.
It depends on how the addons are changed for each killer. If your killer is seen as oppressive to casuals watch out.

No they didn't. The only change not in is the dust being kicked up. And honestly a good portion of people thought that one was too far.
