Need help on not malding
:/
I can't listen to NA streamers who have played slinger twice in their life and think they know everything about slinger. Oh my god. Nor can I stand reading the same argument being made 70 times over even though I could easily disprove all of them but I'm lazy.
I'm looking at otter pictures and potential nemesis skins to make me comfortable. Why am I struggling.
Have an otter for clicking on this thread for some reason.

Seeing as you have The Trapper as your avatar you must be on cloud 9 lol!
I’ve always enjoyed trapper but I hate using addons even if I’m only eating through brown bags so you must be as thrilled about the 2 trap base kit changes as I am:p

If anyone thinks they didn't gut Slinger... They probably have a lot of interesting opinions that would make you want to face palm. That is all I am going to say. Rofl.

It’s all good brother. I’m still a little sad that the stagger reduction from balanced landing was removed or how enduring doesn’t work against DS anymore but it gets better in time.
2 -
Yea its annoying. Its a nerf sure, but now he isnt annoying to go against and its the survivors fault if they got shot, it is avoidable in most situations which leads to interesting play.

Enduring used to work on DS? Man... I missed out.
2 -
It also leads to slinger becoming unfun to play and much weaker.
4 -
How would he be unfun? People should be determined to get better at killers they enjoy, not everything should be easy. Its what made slinger so annoying is how you cant really counter him shooting at you through windows and pallets. Now you have to use strategy to play him well. The terror radius thing was a bit much but thats just a nitpick

But when you play a new survivor you dont have to learn anything? Bar perks, which everyone has to go through anyway.

Your lack of knowledge on slinger is showing.
Good players would block LOS first before vaulting using his 110 speed.
It is impossible to consistently hit rapidly and randomly strafing survivors because of how tiny his hitbox is, which is why he needs to zone.

There's very little strategy in losing the 1v4 because you have nothing else going for you besides a decent-ish 1v1.

Survivor is a whole different thing. Each killer had their unique thing about them that makes them either more difficult, engaging, ect.

Were thinking of the average survivor here wich isnt going to do all that. Ive been a rank one pre mmr for over a year and played a ton of slinger, trust me not everyone is as smart as you say

Ok? I thought that was common knowledge

Then why balance for mediocre players? That seems like an awful thing to do. Bad players can get better, good players cant get worse.

Do you dismiss anyone as someone who played Deathslinger twice when they think that the changes to him are good? Or are you actually only talking about people that very obviously never really play killer at all?
Because I know that there are people that main killer as well and think the changes to Slinger are good.

Actually i don't really play much trapper. I just think the parody trapper from Samination's DBD parody series is amazing

try other ranged killers and find out if sticking with deathslinger is right for you

I don't dismiss any opinion no matter how extreme it is. Just when I can tell someone has clearly no knowledge and they're making false statements such as "He has no counterplay" and "he takes no skill" then all I can do is laugh.
Can you name a slinger player who likes these changes? I know 2 already, and they both hate it. Not a general killer player, an actual slinger player/main.

Ohhhh yeaaa and it was great… pallet stuns were reduced by 75% too. There was actually a bug in the past year that affected certain killers that simulated how enduring used to work against DS. Hit with DS as Wraith for example and you would recover so fast you could catch up again before they knew what hit em’ lol. Good times but didn’t last long
😋😋😋

I actually do a pretty good Samination Trapper impression if I do say so myself:p
My Huntress is on point though. Probably my best copy. If they ever got a sore throat I could legit fill in for a recording lmao!

Well the game wouldnt be any fun if it were only balanced around good players. Not everyone has the time or skill to get good, and some people just want to chill. Balancing a game for as many people as possible is never a bad idea

I don't know what you're talking about. We all know that reacting to things is the only actual valid counterplay that exists in videogames. Prediction, deception, careful positioning and strategy are a myth perpetuated by slinger mains that wanna have easy games while depriving survivors of interactivity.
I for one have watched one person play slinger for half a game ONE time and I know for a fact that he is completely uncounterable because he shoots so fast and you can't react to it. Every streamer agrees with me on this.
Like, why should a killer have the right to have more control over chases than survivors? It's not like chases are the ONLY thing killers need to do in their gameplay, and the only other thing that survivors have to do is hold M1 on gens. So if you make the chase bad for survivors then all they have left is to hold M1 on a thing for a bit and win the game because outplaying their opponents is optional...
I've lost track of my sarcasm at this point. Yeah it's painful. Reminds me of when I desperately and fruitlessly tried to explain to a survivor how Blight is not actually able to spin 180 degrees and how mechanically complex it is to appear to turn 180 degrees... people will spout out easily disprovable bullshit because mediocre players will never fathom that there's a whole lot of stuff they can't see, cuz they are ignorant of it, and they will scoff at the idea of ever trying because it's not immediately obvious to them.

Killers should have control over chases because survivors have control over their objective, which is far more difficult to thwart given that math is against the killer.
1 killer chases 1 survivor = assuming a minimum chase time of 20 - 30 seconds (being generous here with a pretty quick chase), that means each other survivor on a generator has passed roughly 50 - 60 of 80 seconds required to complete their objective (each). It takes time for the killer to find a survivor, and then if you tack on what is generally considered fairly quick chase time, they're already on their back foot.
So, let's summarize:
You find a survivor within the first 10 - 15 seconds of the match, chase them for 20 - 30 seconds, down them (3 second attack CD), pick them up (3 - 4 seconds), and carry them to a hook (let's say 5 - 7 seconds).
If we're being generous and assume every value there is at its lowest, you're looking at 41 seconds total time spent dealing with one survivor. That's slightly over half a generator spread across three. How is that in any way fair or balanced?

Oh I know. Everything I said bar the last paragraph was bullshit i hear being said XD
I know that this game is busted and that killer is too pressed for time, while survivors dictate the pacing of the game while doing something that consists of holding one button for a bit.
In my opinion, when survivors know to do gens, outplaying most killers is optional for them. And it's basically because time is massively against the killer and survivors can stall with bullshit instead of plays.
I agree that there should be at least a 60/40% or 70/30% killer to survivor ratio when it comes to controlling the chase. At least with the game we currently have. If the core game ever changes, then it should be closer to a 50/50%.
