Spirit Nerf
I don't play Spirit seriously, but i know exactly what she's like and how she works and how's she's been changed compared to now, they are talking about trying to make the coin flip power she kinda has a little more fair and their version of fair is literally making it easier and easier for the survivor to live. I couldn't tell you how many survivors i've went against as Spirit or games against her where nobody really tried and so on.
This is just another answer to the large noob survivor populace that the devs narrow sight themselves to imo

No matter how much experience you have... how are you supposed to predict spirit with no direcitonal audio? This isn't a noob survivor problem.

Game sense. As a newer Spirit, the survivors always knew where I was. Obviously with more experience, I could get a little more creative to make that more difficult for them, but this is objectively a noob survivor problem by definition.

There was nothing a survivor without iron will could do. She needed the nerf.

It was too easy before, then they made it challenging for survivors vs spirit, now there's all these details to track her. It really seems like back peddling to me and a useless addition to make her crap
2 -
They made it too challenging that's the problem
1 -
The amount of information that is crossed to the survivor compared to now is ridiculous and idk why she even bothers going invisible.
This change is something newer players are gonna find challenging and for veterans she's more of a joke now

So picture this. I know u are coming after me and i don't see u. Which side should i take left or right? Guessing is bad by definition. Now she has proper audio mechanic so i have something to play around.
It doesn't matter how many hours u have or how lucky u are, it was bad mechanic and i hope they won't revert it.

Yeah and now it's way to easy, a dust cloud to follow her while she uses her power which is supposed to camo her, sounds already gave it away when you got close to someone now. Peeps just cry so hard dude

Dust cloud isn't in PTB so we don't know.

someone who get's it

It keeps getting pushed, this mentality that the survivors should have advantage in chase over the killer. Spirit needs sound and game knowledge to make a read on the survivor's whereabouts and hit them. Now survivors have so much info on her, that they're able to make reads on the killer. And when she runs out of her power with no hit, she's 110% again. 110%ers are supposed to be powerful. Spirit is pretty much a joke now. Just take away the stand-still mindgame and she was good. But they went overkill and gutted her. Time to look for another top 3, or if that's even allowed at this point. Now it'll probably be more like top 2: Nurse and Blight, and everyone else below them may as well be E tier because they can't compete with the best teams. No shot.

The directional audio while phasing was definitely necessary. Also have you even played her in the PTB?

They over here buffing and buffing surv along with that witch girl and her dumb perks imo. I agree she was gutted, if they took away the dust trail like i heard that's a start but it already just sounds like anything she does all the info falls into the swf hands which is the sole reason she got buffed before

No BP earns mixed with changes ill hate, that sounds not fun. Also you can tell now where she's coming from tbh

finally, a sane person in the forums. ive searched all day for it.

Yea, playing her against good survivors really helped me learn how to counter her. I can often tell what distances she won't be able to phase to catch me running to a tile and can then narrow down her possible angles of attack.
As for the "nothing you can do without iron will" argument, you could avoid giving her the first hit when you're healthy. It's much harder to phase on uninjured survivors. Also, if a spirit uses her power to get a hit on you while healthy, she then has to wait for her power to recharge and chase you at 110% speed for a bit.

yup. im glad im not the only one who sees it. we are in the minority tho, so it doesnt matter what we have to say in this regard. the nerf will go live im 95% sure of that.

Good Spirit players will be fine.
1 -
Dude… you’re complaining about something you haven’t even tested omg
1 -
even in high mmr? I doubt that. It all depends on the survivors skill now where as before the spirit actually had control over the chase.
0 -
That’s more an MMR issue rather than a Spirit issue tbh.
1 -
dude all you seem to play is spirit, we know lol This is more as a default vs default
0 -
Not true at all
0 -
fr she is practically visible with this audio handicap
0 -
Not against good players. Her power adds no value because a good player will know exactly where she is and be able to stay safe.
0 -
She can create dead zones because a lot of smart survivors will probably drop pallets faster than other killers. Also she still has the mobility. Wish they would increase her recovery speed to compensate the nerf but it’s not that big of a deal.
0 -
A survivor team can slam pallets early and still get the gens done. It’s a huge problem. By the time the pallets are gone, the game is over.
1 -
It is actually a big deal because she's gonna be a joke dude i can feel it lol. Then we back to before when they gave her any sort of strength, If this is too strong as well why such a nerf when veteran players could beat her fine

Spirit is going to be just fine. She’s going to play the exact same from her POV. All that this is doing is giving survivors some form of counterplay. You will barely notice a different while playing Spirit. The survivor is still going to go down relatively quickly to a decent Spirit, it’s just gonna feel like a more fair and justified down.
I don’t know why people think this change is gutting her. She’s still moving significantly faster than the survivors and can catch up at a majority of the loops.
Spirit is still gonna be a super strong killer, just not as broken as she was previously.
