Do any of the dbd developers play at high sbmm?🙂
In either role?
I was just curious if they tested it after it was implemented.

Testing it would be playing normally and seeing how the algorithm determines their MMR, which is probably not what you'd consider "high". Game developers are usually not that good at the games they make.

But I mean when they first started did they get sweaty swf or tunneling campers right off the bat like the rest of the veteran players?

None of the developers with any influence on balance, but I am sure there are a few.

The only dev I ever watched on stream playing this game was McLean and he wasn’t very good.

That's another thing: from what I've seen, the devs don't take the trials as seriously as some other players, so even if they had, they wouldn't have cared and likely forgot about it.

Is there any footage of them playing anywhere?

So they had no way off testing if high sbmm was considered fair?🤔

That's the thing. You said "On stream". Not everyone streams lol, as a matter of fact the majority of people who play video games never streamed a day in their life. I'm pretty sure some do play the game just on their own time.

Sure they did. With data. How else were they supposed to do it, taking into consideration the following:
- They're most likely not players with a high MMR
- Nobody knows their own MMR, meaning any feedback from people with supposedly high MMRs may or may not actually correspond to a high MMR

Well we can’t assume the skill level of devs that haven’t made their gameplay public/known.
Going by what’s out there, the devs that have demonstrated their gameplay have gotten absolutely rocked.
