Tired of going against SWF with all meta perks?
Too many complains recently. Do devs need to put this as hint in game?
Easy solution: don't tryhard.
Don't camp, don't tunnel, remove slowdown perks, go for 12 hooks... And you can have more fun games!
"But I tryhard because they tryhard" I hear you say. No! It's under your control to get out of chicken and egg situation.
"But I want to win" I hear you say. Forget it, with SBMM you are supposed to* get same win rate no matter what you do.

I think a lot of people just get mad when they play nice and then the survivors act like they solved world hunger and created world peace at the end of the game, so, they would rather just 4k them so that their toxicity makes them laugh instead of feel bad.

Understandable. If teams annoys you, go for it. But then go easy in next match.

Well, as a solo survivor I am sadly the one being punished for Swf toxicity, as some killers will use their chances vs solo q’s to get back at survivors. It feels like some of them sees survivors as one big flock of toxic gamers.
Most games are good though, I hardly meet toxic survivors when I play killer or toxic killers.

Oh, yes. I have the same feelings. I wish in addition to SBMM, we would also have TBMM (toxicity based matchmaking)

I'd agree with you if SBMM was actually a thing. I'm a Huntress main who runs no slowdowns (my build is BBQ, Shadowborn, Nurse's and Discordance) and I still get paired with SWFs using the same 4~6 perks who try to finish all gens in 5 minutes, even if I never go out of my way to camp/tunnel. I finish my chases in 10~20 seconds and I still end matches with only 4~5 hooks because my 110% ass can't defend gens.
Funnily enough I have way more chill survivors with Nurse, a killer I have a way bigger win rate because, you know, it's Nurse. SBMM doesn't work, this is just the same ranking system but hidden.

Golden words.
I used to be nice and let some survivors escape through the hatch (and other type of friendly stuff). Now I'm more on the no mercy side.

Nah, let them play how they want. Meta perks help but they don't make them skilled overnight. I think its funny when you predict Dead Hard, then slug them then hook them after. Or if they just got unhooked and they're standing in front of you to take the hit I like to look at them like "tik tok tik tok. 12 seconds is almost up 😌"

Perks and playstyles don't bother me. But I find comms kinda stressful to go against.

It's hard to say how well it works without keeping stats. You know what, you gave me an idea. I will record every single match kill rate stats and see what it averages to over a period of 1 week and then post my results.

Good point. I was sick of them on the old matchmaking, although I can see them again if I play at weird hours and I'm feeling nostalgic.

Winning or losing has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Your win/loss is the same no matter your playstyle.
I'm talking about how to have fun. You see, win or loss is just a number. Once you get over the idea that your fun is tied to a number, you can actually start using sbmm to your advantage.
Again, just in case it's not clear: win =/= fun.

Personally I feel like a lot of the killer players that constantly complain about these kinds of things have a superiority complex or something. Like some of them I'm sure legitimately feel some of the things they ask for would be better for balance but a lot of others just want to dominate survivors for free. Games like these will never bring the power swing into the direction of the killer because the game wouldn't be fun nor fair. Killers would win almost guaranteed and the point is that you're not supposed to win guaranteed unless you have the skill to overcome the tools survivors have against you. The balancing issue is getting it to a point where survivors don't all escape for free but killer doesn't kill everyone for free either.

Atm I am just trying to get the killer trophy/achievements ran into way to many sweaty SWF when I wasn't going for kills lol

Whole point, if you win and able to grow your skill base, either you face A who chill + better skill and lose, or you face B who has equal your skill but try hard with full Meta and lose.
Lose to A doesnt matter, since you have a chance to play. Lose to B, however, what get us.
I use 1 exhaustion perk and its enough for me to win frequently. Until the day I had 4 matches vs full tunnelers where 1 guy died at 6000 BP.

I did exactly that to test MMR, I played Trickster with no perks no addons and no daggers, just a 110 killer with no power and a lullaby and i never got as many toxic respones as I did, so no, I'll keep tryharding and I'll keep complaining untill they make MMR public and make this a proper competitive game.

I play pretty chill, don't really take the meta perks, usually run meme builds, and don't care if I kill everyone or they all get away. But I still get these teams loaded with the meta. I can still find builds that are fun for me to play, but it sure gets old seeing 4 DH/DS/BT survivors with super powerful items/add-ons in the post match screen, game after game. The inflated skill level those perks and items give and the inflated egos that go with them can smoke a turd in hell.

No, the solution isnt to stop trying. The solution is to be humble, take what you can get, and give the other side nothing for free. Even if the odds are against you dont give up, things can change at a moments notice.

Ruin, Undying, Pop, Corrupt, Sloppy, BBQ.
Every single game on every killer.

It not about do u care or not, if we talk about perks, killers most likely use 4 out of 11 mentioned. Survivors probably have same pool.

I don't see NOED so often as the regression perks. Noed is not meta.
Survivors running a lot more perks than killers.
