I see why many Survivors are playing "small PP" build

Because these days whenever I play as Survivor I am getting either bad teammates or sweaty / toxic killers.

When I want to play some fun build, that fun is nuked because I am getting slugged for 5 min on ground. Or I get tunneled. Or my teammate DC's for some random reason (first down, don't like the killer, add-ons, internet, etc.)

It's rly not fun right now for Solo Survivor, at least for me.

    What is PP build?

Unbrekable, DS usualy + add some exhaustion perk (I don't play these usualy, I play Kindred instead since it is a must have for solo Q).

It's very very rare i see someone runs unbreakable. Ds is noob friendly perk, so it's not because killers do their job, it's more about do your skill check and u are guaranteed to run away.

When i watch good survivors, they are running fun builds and still doing well.

Can't say i have bad teammates... Yeah, sometimes we all die, but my escape rate skyrocket after MMR hit.

Can I borrow some of your team mates? I swear to jeebus everyone in my teams seems to go full lemming once the first hook happens.

They are not slaves, it's all about rng. I guess I roll a good dice 😁

For solo queue, I get why survivors prefer to have 4 second chances. As usual, the real problem is more when swf stack that many get out of jail free cards. But whatever, if I want to avoid that, I can just tunnel and camp. Lol.

Yup, same reason why killers play with the same build.

You cant really blame people for running certain perks. Its part of the game, so why wouldnt you use it....?

What are all these second chance perks exactly? Dead Hard? Okay that's one... BT? Don't tunnel. DS? Don't tunnel. Unbreakable? Meh, if a survivor get's slugged someone can just pick them up anyway. I rarely see Unbreakable and I don't run it myself.

Also you run NOED don't you? 🤗

hmmmm, tunneling 4 players with DS is kinda risky though. Camping, yes, if your bubba, otherwise also difficult against good players.

No. NOED is a hex and I am allergic to every hex outside of the Hex Girls. I would let them put a spell on me.

Solo survivor has never been easier with MMR

I don't even know how survivors can complain right now, the game is boring easy for survivor unless you are against a top tier killer like Nurse, Blight, Spirit played by a good player.

Let me just say, I hate Nurse. I think she is a stupid character that breaks the game but because the game is so broken towards survivors it's fair she exists right now at least till one day over the rainbow the game isn't horribly survivor sided.

All you need is an endurance perk and maybe burrowed time if you don't want to be a ######### teammate... That's it. Everything else doesn't really matter.

So what you're saying is that you're low MMR. Because on high MMR all you see are those killers.

Yes, survivor in low MMR is easy yes.

Give me an example of high mmr survivor streamer please. i didn't saw i single one who has same issues as some people complain to have. Not a single one is stuck against mythical 100% 3 killer only lobbies.

Why would I care about streamers? People and your obsession with streamers. Have you thought about maybe just playing the game for yourself instead?

Because i saw rly rly good players with huge win streaks majority can only dream off, and yet it feels like some people complain cause of habbit and use something used to be months ago and doesn't happen any more.

How big win steak u need to get into MMR to face only 3 killer lobby? 50 wins? 100 wins? 1k wins?

So what you are saying is you are bad and can't survive against higher tier killers like Nurse, Blight, Spirit and have to play against low tier easy to loop killers to increase your inflated ego.

Yes, High MMR survivor is also easy. Just not for you apparently.

Before SBMM the randoms I was getting at least knew how to play the game but after this. Most of them have self caring and using that perk against Sloppy butcher :^).

Running kindred will kill your brain cells seeing your team.

I was able to escape so many times, even though I only use Lithe as 2nd chance. Until I gain my sbmm and constantly facing hard tunnelers.

That made me feel like I had to put more 2nd chance so I could able to have fun (by not getting rid off the game in 3min).

But I rethink that if I was able to win against these tryhard. I would gain my sbmm once again and facing players who both tryhard and better skill than me.

So I just keep using 1 second chance builds. At least it works for me

this is the only community that shame players for being meta slave instead of the blaming the game.

DS is not "small pp" anymore.

It's literally up to killer if they take DS.

You cannot do anything to progress the game. DS is literally an anti tunneling protection. Wanna tunnel? If i have DS it's your problem.

I'll second this. I run empathy too, so for a large portion of the game, I have an almost map-wide coverage of the stupidity of solo teammates. The most soul-destroying feeling ever is after having rescued most of your team once, if not twice...you then end up dying on first hook because survivor one camped the hook and got caught, survivor two is down in the basement searching the chest and survivor three is in the far corner trying to self care sloppy butcher.

Since SBMM it's gotten worse and I am saved only by the occasional games where the individuals on my team seem to have their s**t together!

Get to grade 1 and then it doesn't matter how bad the match goes, you won't degrade.

I'm more interested why survivors don't complain when killer is left with less than 6 hooks. But if by any reason he gets kills, it's time to run on forum and cry how unfair it is.

I'm glad someone finally was able to describe exactly why I don't use "fun" builds in this game. Kinda hard to have fun when you get absolutely destroyed for using non meta perks.

  • Chocolate_Cosmos
    Chocolate_Cosmos Member Posts: 5,734

Nope. I don't need to escape to have a fun game.

The thing is how the whole match is being played. If you still escape but the game took 20 min, because killer slugged all team (including you) but you still managed to somewhat escaped by hatch or something, it doesn't feel good at all.

If you escape, because you did gens while Basement bubba was camping your teammate(s) to death... it's not a good game. It's super boring.

If I can do some gen(s), have some decent chases, not getting tunnel or slugged to death with a decent team (don't have to be good, but at least not be noobs or DC) and I die at the end, no problem there.

Solo survivor has been killer favoured and unfun for years now. If you don’t have a SWF squad, get ready to either die on first hook or getting tunnelled out while they heal/loot/occasionally repair.

yep and it happens to be the most broken op build. It also makes killer games nightmares. It is a cycle. Killer runs meta perks and sweats/camps/tunnels, you decide to run the broken build to avoid that. Then another killer comes along running non meta perks and then face you with your small pp build. Then the killer will do the same thing. So you are stuck in the vortex of bs all day long. So either you keep playing or you quit because there is so much bs.
