Why do killers continue to chase one person for the whole game?
It just doesn't make sense to me for a killer to chase one person the whole game. Why do killers do this?

If they success: survivors should improve their chase skill.
If they fail: complain a chase cost 3 Gens.
Just had a Nurse in Yamaoka estate tunneled me for 4 Gens until I died. I dont know if I should improve my chase skill up to 5 Gens, but it may cost Devs balance Gen time from 80sec to 120sec.

I play for chases, couldn't care less of gens. If someone is good as survivor i will commit even to a 5 gen run and let him escape. If they wanna gen rush cool, next game

Salt. If that killer wasn't able to catch survivors for the whole duration of a game, that person is getting facecamped to death if gets caught. It's the matter of pride.

Oh, this happened to me last night! My name included ttv because I was streaming so this Freddy sniped me then facecamped and tunneled me because he didn't like ttvs.
Jokes on him the other 3 got out and he was ran for, like, 3 gens on the Badham fence loop alone :D

Because it takes me the whole game to catch someone. Also, if there is a Cheryl Mason, I chase her the whole game. Because I am a Silent Hill big fan and I want to hear her scream.

Most killers don't do this.
I do it sometimes 'cause it's funny; I'll chase but never down anyone, never hook anyone. Every once in a while a survivor will spend the entire 5 gens at a single pallet loop. I don't play seriously, though, I like to screw around and meme.

The other day my friend (as Alessa) got slugged first thing and the Pyramid Head stood over him until he bled out, ignoring the other survivors except to chase them away. I don't get why Pyramid Heads do that stuff, it makes them look idiotic. I've seen them say they like to "roleplay" the character, but targeting Cheryl/Alessa isn't supported by his lore.

You have to be a really bad killer to chase 1 survivor all game. That or your so triggered you just snapped.

I only bought this game to play Cheryl Mason. Because I played all the silent hill games already. (a few times) Here is what I understand about pyramid head. He doesnt care about anyone or anything. He is unkillable. You don't fight him you only hide from him. If he sees you , you are done. Game over. So us Silent Hill fanatics expect nothing less.

Nah, that I get. I mean specifically targeting Cheryl/Alessa. If he targets James Sunderland, I get it. But Pyramid Head doesn't have anything to do with Alessa in the games, she should just be treated like any of the other survivors. I've never seen any of the other licensed killers "roleplayed" to target their matching survivor as much as I see Pyramid Head target my friend playing Alessa.

It is because in Silent Hill, there is no one else around. There are no other people in that game. Not like stranger things where the gorgone just hates living things. And Alessa just might be an embodyment of Pyramid head. Freddy kills whoever. Jason kills whoever. all the other killers have multiple victims. Poor James. He is just so depressed it is almost a favor for Pyramid head to kill him. before he realizes what he did to his... oh I wont spoil it for any one who has not played Silent Hill. If you have not, you might really enjoy it.

Because they get tilted. It is YOUR fault that they are having a bad game right now, stop being so god. Cannot be their fault for following you for a long period of time. So you need to be punished - when they catch you.
Also had a Nurse at some point who chased me for 3 1/2 Gens, ignoring players right next to her on Gens. When Gen Number 4 was finished, she DCed. And probably opened a Thread in this Forum afterwards.

If I can tell that a survivor is really really good, I will throw to chase them. Why would I do that? To get better. You don't get better by chasing weak survivors you get better by learning how to chase good survivors.

Sometimes I'm just messing around, sometimes it's fun to chase very good survivor and see what they do.

Depends on the circumstances i guess.
1 - If someone repeatedly goes out of their way to continuously annoy me while i'm chasing someone else via body blocking or flashlight saving at weird ass angles, you bet your ass i'll slap you down and won't let you get up.
2 - You brought a Key and Haddonfield offering.
3 - You repeatedly hold the Box hostage while playing PinHead.
