Do something about CHEATING!!
I just played a match where all 5 gens finished in less than 60 seconds.
Everyone is talking about cheating left and right its going RAMPANT. FIX THIS!!

Wow. Must be small map, Headsets and toolboxes with parts and the last two gens with two people each. Headsets are unsportsmenlike conduct I think. sounds like a setup.

It sounds more like all had engineers toolboxes

Straight up hacking and its rampant.
What are the odds I see a video of this yesterday then it happens to me today?

In the off chance you're actually not joking.
That is physically impossible. You could add a 5th survivor give all of them BNP with cengineers toolboxes and they still not pull this off.
Not to mention the exit gate INSTANTLY opened after the gens popped.

Hacking? you would need to hack the server. If that is the case, it is the DbD crew who need better server security.

Well, hey, at least they weren't holding the game hostage!

Last night I had a match where all 4 of the survivors were cheating lol. They were trying to play normally at first, but the first survivor I hooked I noticed a Claudette urban evading at insane speeds all over the map. That's when I knew what kind of match I was in. All of a sudden little by little the rest of the survivors started to reveal they were all cheating. Insta healed when smacked, insane movement speed, and infinite use of items.
Fortunately for me, they helped me A TON in getting progress for that challenge where you need to smack survivors 50 times with your weapon. ❤️
I hardly noticed cheaters before MMR was turned on, so BHVR definitely should address it. Now I notice it WAY more. Granted, it isn't every match, but before MMR, I used to see one person cheating in every 40 matches or so. Now? It's like every 10 match where I notice it.

You raise a good thought there: not saying this is the reason at all, but since SBMM went live, people have been reporting cheats much more often. Is there a possibility the new system may have made it easier for hackers to get through?
1 -
You do NOT need to hack the server just the game. Look on youtube man. There is countless examples of blatant hacking.
It's become so common lately though.
Dude these guys had all 5 gens done and the exit gates opened before I even walked 25% the distance of the map from the spawn. NO toolboxes or anything whatsoever. Absolute hacking.

Dude now the hackers can make it so it LOOKS like the others are cheating too. Hackers can insta heal their teammates while being NOWHERE near them. They can do anything.
4 -
Yeah hacking is absolutely rampant. Every single day, no exaggerating I see one or more hackers. Anything from survivors zooming around the map, to another hacker making himself the extra killer and alot of them make it so the game won't end too.

My last match, the one that just ended for me, ALL gens became 99'd in the first 10 second of the game.
Same person kept instantly healing themselves, I just tapped the gens to trigger EGC so we could all move on.

luckily very often they dont change their names... so you can dodge...
1 -
Its concentrating them in the higher ranks.

They're talking about modding the game, not actual hacking... That's also doable though. People are able to DDOS and if they wanted to, get YOU banned because of that bad security.

I ran into a cheating Yui. She was jumping around the map without gravity and even went way up above everyone. She instantly healed before you could see anything happen, and then she escaped with one gen left. It didn't trigger EGC, and The Killer just idled at that point. We didn't think it was fair, so we surrendered and just died.

No, they're talking about cheaters. Modding, cheating, and hacking are completely different from each other. Cheaters are the script kiddies who put in no effort themselves.
3 -
I don't understand why people never call them what they are.
There are Cheaters (The people who just bought a script and is a script kiddie)
Hackers (The people who actually made the script)
And then Modders (The people who change files in the game, usually not to have a gameplay advantage and is mostly cosmetic).
These three groups are very different. Call them what they are, Cheaters.
3 -
Because apparently they're very difficult to mess up. M, C, and H are all very close to each other in appearance, you see? And in the alphabet too, they're practically next to each other. Very easy to confuse.
1 -
Cheating is modding. The script is modifying the files. They are mods. What you can say is not all mods are malicious.
1 -
So use the specific term (cheaters) instead of the umbrella term (modders) when you mean that specific group that the specific term applies to it isn't hard
2 -
Yeah or I could actually address the person I was replying to with the difference between the two processes.
