I'm tired of the sound bugs!

Seriously, is it that hard make sounds play right? This is mostly a killer issue but also a survivor one to a lesser extent. Where do I even begin?

The silent slug bug: classic. Been in the game for multiple years, and it's forcing killers to lose sacrifice points to the bleed out, or potentially even allow a dead-to-rights survivor to escape.

Some survivors don't even make sounds when they fall, with no Balanced or anything. They land on silent cat feet and rob you of your well-planned basement strat.

Sometimes survivors get Iron Will for free, or are at least unreasonably quiet for how close they are to you.

Sometimes survivors only get half their scream out when you down them, making you have to guess if they had Calm Spirit or not.

Can't hear survivors' footsteps when they run inside my body, so I don't know where they are and get disoriented.

Several spots on different maps where you should be able to hear a gen because it's behind a single wall, or it's not even that far from you. But nope. It's completely silent. That can lead to a gen getting done, when you would have been able to stop it had you heard it.

As survivor, I can't hear the killer at all during chase. Maybe it's because they're just that quiet, or maybe because the chase music and my own footsteps/pain noises are loud to me. Nemesis had a bug recently, don't know if it got fixed or not, where he would make no stomps at all if he was undetectable and was out of line of sight. Maybe undetectable/oblivious should work like that, but at least make it consistent across all killers.

Many times I won't be able to hear a Leatherface revving his chainsaw right behind me, or a Huntress winding her hatchet up even when she's close enough to be in my los, which can give them free downs.

But what is it gonna take to get rid of all this stuff? Do we have to take it into our own hands and run Surveillance and Stridor all the time, or buy premium headphones? If the new Spirit phasing sound mechanic works out as intended, it's gonna be a miracle. Seriously, I want to be able to rely on my sense of hearing when playing the video game.

well you are right. But i dont think this will get fixed at all at this point. its been there for years, why would they fix it now?

We can just keep hoping i guess......

I love it when survivors grunts of pain are so delayed that I hear them directly right of me but I see them already one loop further ahead :)

but yeah, sounds on both sides are very unreliable and it would be nice to see more improvements here.

Plus: The "whispers" on red puke are extremely loud and sometimes a generator can pop without giving any notifications.

I recently started noticing the gen pop silent. The iron will part has been an issue for a while.

yeah, silent gen pop has happened to me too. i still notice the gen because looking at the little red arrow that appears is a reflex at this point, but it gets annoying
