Genrushing is very real, and this game needs an overall change of pace
Title^
Ive seen several arguments that genrushing is/isnt real, etc. But from what ive seen most people who say it isnt real dont know what it actually is.
"Genrushing" is the act where the survivors complete their objective faster than the killer is able to keep up, they have NO chance to make a good enough comeback before the game ends. That is what genrushing is
This blows the "patrol gens better" argument out of the water. Without slowdown, if the average killer has a beginning chase of lets say 30 seconds, with the other survivors all on gens. By the time the killer has hooked the survivor, and moved on to patrol, all three of those gens uninterrupted are over half way done. Though this is an unlikely scenario with soloq, totems, chests, multiple people on one gen, etc. Yet still 1 to 2 gens will be done after the first chase most games if you dont bring slowdown, or have some lucky snowball.
This is why almost every killer nowadays will run ruin, undying, pop, corrupt, and all forms of slowdown possible. And doing so makes the game boring, and creates an unbalance that tips from one side to the other. Either the game is too easy for the survivors, or the game is too easy for the killer. That is the problem with this game, its based on how fast you can do the objective. It simply doesnt work out with the meta and hundreds of perks that never get used. There isnt any room to use them because if you dont the game is over before you have a chance.
Here is my idea that ive had for a while now. Make it so that the game runs on how well you can do your objective, rather than how fast. This will completely change the game, which sadly means its a very unlikely change. Maps would make sense to be bigger, and player speeds would probably be lowered on both ends. The entire meta would change, playstyles new and interesting, other perks seeing the light of day with new strategy, instead if the constant meta, which in my opinion is the best thing for dbd right now.
That is all, my rant on this game is done for now, until boon totems do something spicy that is.

I don't think anybody truly thinks gen rushing is fake, it's just that most of the time that people "gen rush" there really not. There's rarely times where you will get a team with genrush builds

Really can't be mad at survivors for doing their objective, but it does show that gen rushing is a thing.
Problem is, there is no way to address it because it's a core game issue, that stems from bad maps, poor killer designs, and overall survivors not having enough objectives prior to gens since they depend on the killer for a optional objective

theres no such thing as genrushing. patrol better or use slowdowns. doing gens is literally the primary objective you moron...

Genrushing is precisely as real as tunneling or proxy camping.
It's all the players main objective.
But when you optimise your build and strategy for fastest possible completion of your main objective, I don't see how that doesn't qualify as "rushing".

I tried to Gen rush this morning with whoever was in the lobby. I had no money for a toolbox and only managed to get 1 going before I was taken out by the ghost face. And I cannot evade anyone.
