Killer needs have "stillness" effect...

I purchase the game a little more than 2 weeks and so far the experience as new player have been "sad"... Is insane the amount of face-camp in this game and they earn mmr/bloodpoints like they played like a "god".

After 200+ hours i still facing those "stupid" killers who enjoys this "fun content" also they know nothing gonna happens anyway... Even with Kindred perk is hard because, rush gens is what i try do but always someone in the team want be the hero and save the hook guy and guess what happens next (expecially if is Bubba)... And the funny thing is as far i checked, seems it not get better in higher mmr.

Since survivor have this "stillness" system where crows start stack in your head when you are innactivity, maybe killers should have a similar system;

  • After a period of "innactivity" (action) from the killer, a swarm chould blind AND disorient him for maybe +-2 seconds (is 1 second for unhooking someone);

"disorient?? are you crazy bro??"

Yeah because as a noob player i know the "blind effect" such as flashlight is useless, for me flashlight only actually worth to make killer drop the survivor and is great that way, otherwise any killer with headset (even without), still doing their actions like nothing happened during the blind effect.

So yeah, disorient should be way better cuz the killer move/face around randomly doing only M1 attack while blind can be a window of oportunity to save the guy... Also i know the next one hook will be the same thing.

Tbh i dunno... maybe is hard to track such thing because it mind blow me this kind of "gameplay" be a thing in this game all this years without any "consequence".

Is this a thing since "old days"? They never tried do anything about that?

Is a good game so far but pretty sure new players like me have their will to play dragged to the ground so easily...

Sadge 😐️

sorry if is a common tópic.

    200+ hours / 2 weeks = 14 hours per day?

    Yeah, that seems right...

    You know that your change would do nothing, because killer would just move from side to side?

    Try to go play on dbd discord with other players, if you are from EU you can find mostly decent players there.

    well... assuming many hours was alt+tab watching stream...

    And yeah... is just a idea because the frustration is gigantic at the point of me just sit there with the killer waiting for "my turn"

    The problem is that there are times where camping is needed and best approach for killer.

    For example:

    every gen is done and that hooked survivor is my only objective atm.

    I have 3-gen in that area, so I have really 0 reasons to leave.

    Noone likes bubba, who camp survivor on first hook in the game and you need to have SWF to fight it, where they just do gens asap, then try to do maybe 1 for 1, depends on hook location.

    It sucks for soloQ, but soloQ sucks overall. That's why lot of players want buff for soloQ and give them more info.

    Maybe not a negative effect on the Killer, but an incentive for them to move out and kill other Survivors beside not losing Gens and allowing Exit Gates to open.

    Something along the lines of the hooked Survivor getting teleported to another hook if the Killer lingers too long around them. Borrowing from Pyramid Head's Cage of Atonement.

    I can't say 2 weeks of playtime is enough to form a proper opinion on how the game plays and how it should be balanced. Also, I feel like OP has already fallen into the trap of entitlement that plagues the community. As a new player, your shouldn't worry about facecamping this and that. It's a valid strategy that works and is enjoyable for those who use it. I myself don't mind being against either.

    You need to understand as a new player just because you dont like it doesnt make it any less valid. Play the game, and as you get better and more experienced you'll find that you'll meet people who know how to play against facecampers and you'll learn to aswell. It's an aspect of the game, an obstacle that needs to be overcome.

    Always remember, killers are called killers, not entertainers. Their main goal is objectively opposed to yours, so of course they're going to do whatever they can to achieve that goal. Dont keep thinking like a victim, or that you're better than the killer for "playing fair" and especially dont fall into the whatabout-ism so common in discussion.

    Be humble.

    I would fine with different games like WoW type, but I would go crazy with 14 hours dbd each day...

    An AFK killer doesn't prevent survivors from finishing gens and escaping. Whereas survivors AFKing can prevent the game from ending.

    There's no reason for killers to get penalized for staying in a certain spot, because sometimes the best course of action is to defend a specific objective the survivors have.
