Should survivors have more skill checks?
Survivors have it easy, run in circles and press their ability or interact buttons. I think that more skill checks around window vaulting or even after sprint bursts would make it more even with killers. Especially for the newer players who cant hit anyone and leave after a couple of games.

No because it does not seem feasible at the moment.
How would a skill check while vaulting a window work?

Then the killer needs to pass a skill check to use their power, which is also given to them for free currently

I would be down with that, currently there are way to many easy jungles and god routes so a killer basically never gets a hit.

maybe after landing and you have to skill check to not trip or something like that.

I think in most cases you can just leave the loop and not have to deal with it, and that's probably better than trying to restrict both parties from using their powers or basic functions like window vaulting

Yes!
They should have skill checks while running. If they miss they trip and gain the hindered status for 2s.

No, it's the abundance of skill checks is becoming a meme.

Infinite looping next to their generator just to go back on it cause you couldn't catch them seems downright scummy, maybe if those gyms had random spawns further away from said gen maybe.

sorry didn't quote

even something as simple as that would be amazing, and maybe have some perks that helped skill checks so survivors couldn't go straight meta every game.

how to make this game even less new player friendly in about 3 seconds.

I wouldn't stop at just window vaults or sprint bursts though. Survivors also have an easy time pressing M1 when cleansing totems, opening exit gates, unhooking survivors, unlocking chests, waking others up, etc. They literally have no skill checks for any of that. We can't forget pallet vaults, pallet stuns, lockers or flashlights either.
These changes have to be made because as you suggest, survivors have it easy. They aren't skilled unless they are skill checked.

Instead of giving the survivors that are actually doing something more skill checks make the survivors that are just hiding in corners or locker hopping the entire match have to start hitting skill checks. Haven't touched an objective, been chased, or helped a teammate recently? Here's one of those speedy yellow glyph type skill checks - mess up and you automatically get 3 crows for 60 seconds making loud noises.

Hopefully you're not to the point that you're infinitely looping a survivor next to a generator... I would say if you can't injure them in 12s or less it's time to move on. I usually smack the gen before I start a chase as well, just to buy some more time later if I need it.
The only time looping a survivor is beneficial would be if they were already injured and you have a good chance of downing them.

well said and yes I ment all that you stated. Everything they do is unskilled except when it comes to the gens, DS or whatever else they need a skill check for and which is way easy. They want a win they should have to earn it.

believe me im gone to the next batch of survivors if i can't catch em but the fact they get a free gen because it's next to a god gym is absurd.
0 -
that too, the survivors that camp the whole game hoping YOU disconnect to save the game they lost. But you better believe im sticking it out checking every locker and corner.

That just sounds like bad game design, adding random skillchecks to actions isn't engaging or fun gameplay.
Want to balance it out more; reduce pallet amounts, make more 'unsafe' aka fair ones, smaller maps, a begin of game collapse, make basic gen regression worth the kick, etc.

Gens should have 2 tick marks on the progression bar. When you reach the tick marks the skill checks that appear on the glyphs should appear but a bit slower.

I am confused.

Y'all are joking right? Lmfaoo these forums....

Yes. Yellow glyph skill checks for everything at all times, including cleansing and opening gates.

I think survivors should have difficult skill checks every second of every match. If they miss any of them they instantly die. I think that's fair.

A skill check while vaulting, they break their neck if they fail

Have you ever played Dance Dance Revolution? I could see them doing something like that.

I don't know why anyone even boots up DbD when you can experience the best part without all the loading screens: http://dbd.trekkspace.com/ Now that is some tense, immersive gameplay right there.

You're trolling on a disposable account. Fair play.
