If I've just "won" the past four games in a row.
According to the dev stream, if I've just "won" (escaped through a gate) the past four games in a row, my MMR should have improved.
So why, in my fifth game, was I matched with quite possibly the worst teammates I've ever had within the past six months?
Yes, they were all on Steam and yes I checked their profiles. Nobody had over 500 hours.
For context those are my hours on this account only.
Make it make sense because holy ######### that was frustrating.

Because Survivors that hide and don't actively bring attention to themselves have a higher chance of escaping than all the loopers and altruistic players combined, meaning bad/selfish players are actively rewarded.

Honestly not everyone is going to play sweaty at all times. But yep that is why solo survivor is the hardest role in this game. Solo>Killer>SWF.

Five games would increase your MMR by a maximum of 100, maximum. Potentially only about 25 or so.
Which is probably equivalent in old rank terms to gaining 2 ranks.
Matchmaking still relies on enough players playing at the same time you are.
So if you could be matched with players 2 ranks above or below you before, then being matched with players 100 MMR either side of you would be just as likely.

The "good" survivors are all cheating in swf groups to make the game GGEZ leaving you with the dregs and trolls.
Survivors that do nothing but focus gens and escape are better survivors in the eyes of the new mmr so you will get stuck with urban evading Claudettes for a while because they get the hatch or door.
