How do I defend my Hex Totems in the new patch if I want to run a fun Hex build?
Now that the notification on Thrill is gone, how can I defend my Hex perks?
Are there any other perks that can help out a Hex build?

I'm just hoping that maybe I'm missing something obvious.

if you sit infront of your Ruin the entire game as Insidious bubba they can never cleanse it

Thrill of the hunt isn’t even that good imo, good survivors will tap it so you stop chasing someone to check on your totem. By the time you get to your totem, they’re on the other side of the map and will just keep tapping it to make you waste time.
You can pair haunted grounds with whatever hex you’re running so you can atleast get value out of it before it’s cleansed.

Hexes aren't gonna be a thing anymore. Too many counters.

Midwich or Dead Dawg offerings.

Go Twins and put Victor to defend your totem while you play the whole game as an m1 killer.

Stand in front of the totem. Problem solved!
Tbh I don't know. It seems as time goes on hexes get worse and worse due to people remembering where totem spawns are and more perks that counter hexes.

Totems are for survivors now, they control where, when and how to use them

Run Thrill of the Hunt + Thana on Doctor
Equip the laser addon and the green range addon

The only way is to incorporate these totems into your rotations on the map, and make your rotations tighter so that they're never always able to look for it

You don't, all hex perks are dead next patch. Good thing theres other games out during that time so you can play something else till that garbage gets adjusted.

Thrill of the Hunt no longer works during next patch. You won't get sound notifications so its useless.

With static blast having a 50-60 second cooldown and it taking 28 seconds to cleanse the first totem doctor can still pull off defending totems with the new thrill.
The loss of the notification sucks but people are really underselling the buff to the action speed reduction.

You don't. You run a different build, or you get roflstomped.
As is the case with most killer perks.

Hex: TOTH still helps. It causes 50% longer cleanse/bless speeds. Boon totems got nerfed to 24s, so that means it'll take them 36s to set up a boon.
You can run Haunted Ground/Undying/TOTH to mess with boon players. They'll spend 72s of an entire match setting up boons just to potentially activate Haunted Ground twice lol

By the time you realize your totem is being worked on its going to be gone. Either because you're in the middle of a chase or because you simply weren't around. Sure you could go around and check it every 20 seconds.....but while you're sitting there camping your hex you're not chasing people or protecting gens....you're actually setting yourself up to lose like this. The only reason that build worked before is because you could get the notification and react and head toward the hex. On top of that, you also never got a notification that they were on your thrill <-A gimmick nerfed long ago.

Play Hag or Trapper.

Just use RPD/Midwich/Haddonfield/Swamp offering, and your totems will stand untouched until the end of the game.

Defending your hexes is the way to throw a match.
Run haunted grounds. It's always been better than thrill anyway.

implying anybody wants to play on RPD

Any combination of Hex Perks that includes Thrill + Haunted Grounds (haunted Grounds ensures that all 5 totems are lit).
