Which killer makes you feel like you are in the power role and why?πŸ˜‡

For me it is playing spirit on console. Plenty of mind games (until the nerf comes).

Trapper when I can herd survivors onto a big brain trap that was placed near the start of the game and comes in clutch at the end.

I mean it is a horror game the killer is the power role right?

How about you?

Nurse first off, only killer mathematically and gameplay wise that is explicably in the power role, blight because of his map pressure, pre-gutted spirit, and bubba if you proxy camp

  • Wraith, Nurse, Huntress...

    None.

Almost every killer feels meh when you face a strong team. Sure you can win depending on the variables but if you consistently face good survivors no killer really feels like "the power role" if you mean it as in that you feel powerful and dangerous at all times.

demo with leprose lichen and unknown egg

You only do what I allow you to do. The constant feeding of map-wide information means I'm playing the macro game very early. My check list when I first load in is to locate Ruin and portal it, identify the 3 gen and identify the basement.

A good Ruin placement inside my web, and a survivor hooked in there means the match is mine. I can freely leave my Ruin and the hooked survivor and pressure the survivors even harder. Leatherface can't do that.

Once the first survivor is gone, my aura reads become a lot more oppressive. Cleansing my portals becomes an objective that the survivors can't ignore, so even if they cleanse it that's still time that I am buying. Oh, and with the Egg survivors cant cleanse your portal fast enough before you teleport back to them.

    Bubba. Reasons:

Cuts minutes off survivors' life expectancies by ending chases in one hit

Healing is negligibly effective against him, yet survivors still do, wasting their time

Able to brute force his way through Borrowed Time and Styptic Agent

Able to catch bad Sprint Bursts that go nowhere, and with duration add-ons can catch Balanced Landing as well

Is barely affected by Dead Hard

Is able to hit multiple survivors in a single use of his power

Rapidly creates massive deadzones by breaking pallets quickly

Thrives in the hold W and pre-drop every pallet meta

Is one of the most effective campers and tunnelers in the entire game

Is highly effective against most of the list of meta survivor perks, being fully affected by only Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, and Iron Will

Is not add-on reliant, and therefore has some actual options for which add-ons to bring

He has a lot of things going for him in one extremely simple package. The only thing holding him back is a lack of map mobility.

He has no style, he has no grace, this killer has a leather face.

  • Bubba, you lose one chase and the fear of getting camped gets to you.

    Nurse

It’s the only killer that has control over the chase, where it’s about your skill and not the survivor making mistakes. Where you get to ignore all the safe bullshit loops and god pallets.

Leatherface says... Second chances? You only get two of those.

How that might sound powerful. But most killers have to deal with four second chances. So... who is winning, really?

    None. Insert console excuse here.

But I saw good killers on pc having a bad time against competent swf's with Nurse so I dunno.

    Oni.

Sure the start can be slow and in the end the game may be lost off a really terrible beginning, but thats basically true of all killers so...

However when you do get his power rolling it becomes quite the rush, pun intended.

Barreling out of the unknown to smash unaware survivors. Twisting around for that sneaky 90 degree down on a cheeky survivor.

There is also those moments playing huntress on Lery's, landing a hatchet threaded through multiple hallways, doors, and windows and you feel like you've unlocked the matrix vision.

Survivor with dead hard and styptic

Also blight since he is on of the few killers that actually has the control in a chase

I think the power role is more about being clearly more powerful than one survivor that you are chasing.

A fair amounf of killers come to mind honestly. Also, obviously you shouldn't win every match as killer when facing good survivors. But of course one problem arises when gens pop and you feel a bit powerless against that.

I've been maining Nemesis for a bit now, and he definitely feels like a power role. Survivors definitely have a fair amount of counterplay in chase against Nemesis in my opinion, but to be fair, the in chase counterplay is more limited than that of most killers, which is compensated by the vaccines of course, and Nemesis always feels in control of a chase, and with that I mean, he also always has counterplay to survivors counterplay, having potential to hit a survivor, though of course not having guaranteed hits.

All of the stronger killers feel like the power role as well in my opinion. Nurse of course, if I could play her, Spirit, Blight and Huntress come to mind.

My main, Twins. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, I force myself to refrain from the Victor slug+camp hooks playstyle to give the survs a fair go.

Huntress. When I play huntress I'm 100% confident that I am deadly killer and I am in full control of the situation. Even when I lose I don't feel like I wasn't in the power role.

Nemesis gives me pretty much the same feeling.

I'm not a god like killer, I do miss hatchets and tentacle strikes and I have a lot to learn. But answering the question I do feel like a power role with this two killers.

While I do agree and bubba is my fav killer atm (hence my pfp)

however I do believe he is addon dependant (award winning chili and beast marks) to reach his full power potential and he is weak in map traversal and as a result, gen pressure (however this can be helped with perks)

None. Nurse comes close though. Survivor is the power role.

    Rescently?

Pyramide Head. Survivors avoid torment at all costs or I do not have to think about Unbreakable, Borrow Time or Deceisive Strike. Once tormented they have to be afraid of loosing the chase or they get caged or executed on the spot. Also you can shoot through walls, pallets and windows to punish.

I am by no means good with him and just play him from time to time.

But out of all the Killers, including Ghostface and Cenobite who are my most played Killers right now, Pyramide Head give the most powerful feeling.

Claudette. Survivors everywhere despair at the thought of my aversion to boring gens and my appetite for totems and chests. One look at my skillful Urban Evasion is all that is needed for my team to know the match is lost.

As with any killer, there is a noticeable difference with add-ons vs. without add-ons, but Bubba's less reliant on them than some killers in my opinion. He can still get kills and do well without them, unlike some killers that are nearly unplayable without them (Ghostface's recovery add-ons, Trapper's bags, pre-buff Wraith's Windstorm, etc.). His add-ons are nice but not complete game-changers.

I also have to heavily disagree with you on Bubba's scratches add-ons. Adding .24 seconds to his rev time for a pathetic +3% initial speed while chainsawing is awful and leads to more missed hits than you gain. I'd rather go double chili, or award-winning chili + one of his other much better add-ons.

He is bad at map traversal and by extension gen pressure, yes. You do want to find a good 3 or 4 gen early on because you just can't cover enough ground.

    Doctor for me.

Prevent vaults and pallet drops? βœ…

    Shows location of survivors? βœ…

Makes skill checks more difficult? βœ…

    That's good soup.

I know bud. I wish I could have used Old Freddy my friends tell me all about him. I was going to say there is no way they could butcher Fred any more but let's be honest they can. I still use him but just feels out of place and boring.

Add-on's are a complete joke when compared to every other killer especially after this next update. Low amount of snares that have a baby hindered to them. They nerfed pallets???? #########. His teleport is the only reason he is still a B-tier killer in my eyes...Along with him being so versatile with perks.

Current Deathslinger is pretty much the only one. Why? Because the Survivors cannot realistically stop me. They can outpace me in the 1v4, but the Redeemer's power cannot be denied. Honestly he's the only one who consistently makes you feel like a horror movie villain. So many of them are unstoppable powerhouses where running, hiding, and generally staying 1 step ahead of them is your only chance... which is exactly Deathslinger's MO.

I'll attempt killer, but if I don't like it I'll just quit, which is the same thing many survivors have done to get us to this point.

I love playing most of all for the executioner. I can tunnel with the ability if I am near the cage and sometimes go out to control pallets and windows. Basically I take 2-4k, but for me even 1k is a win.

    Rey_512 Member Posts: 1,620

Spirit, somewhat. I can at least avoid most pallet play. Some windows are safe unless you break a nearby breakable wall. Not to mention there’s god pallets that not even Spirit can counter.

Myers. No other killer has builds that can absolutely ruin some games. No other killer has an addon that lets me mori someone before I even hook them. No other killer has a better jumpscare build for this horror game. He IS the power role.
