Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How to make SBMM feel good

I was really supportive of SBMM and optimistic given the weekend tests etc. Seemed to make games fun and quite balanced, however since going live this seems to not be the case in almost every game ive had as both killer and survivor. I get usually destroyed on either side i play and theres certainly to optimal 2 escapes or 2 kills average per game.

I would suggest that the secret SBMM values should be much greater reflecting a win or loss of a much smaller number of games. For example if you 'lose' 2-3 games your next game should be markedly better. This will allow for a much better feel good factor and give a good chance for both sides to have at least an average 1/4 'wins'.

At the moment the SBMM values seem to be so incremental that i see virtually no difference between the skill gap of the survivors and killer for 10s of games. This just makes it feel like SBMM isnt working or is doing nothing.- im sure it is, but it feels like it will take months and months of playing daily (which i do) to maybe? See what can be viewed as a fair/fun game.

My concern is that by this time i dont want to play anymore (currently how i and many friends feel - all have over 1k+ hours) as an estimated 80% of the games we play result in a loss and unfun game. It just currently feels that SbMM values are not remotely impactful enough in the short term which is essential in a non competative game such as DBD.

Id be interested in any opinions?
