Remember killer quick switch?
Yeah, I remember when killers coukd quickswitch between a character to another last second, this was removed... Now, survivors are doing the same but it feels worse!

Survivor switch will never ever be this impactful as killer switch, because you can see each of them and which items they use. You could prepare "builds" for every killer beforehand depending on the situation, while survivors have to make a guess with their items.

survivors could see who the killer was?
6 -
Yeah you can see them switch last second which a killer can't just switch to a killer without guessing that there gonna switch. Also how exactly can a specific killer counter maps, toolboxes, and keys?

They can still last second switch in to someone with an item that they dont want the killer to bring franklins or lightborn for

It feels worse, because you see it. Survivors never saw you quick switch.
Personally, I've rarely done it, because I'd pick a killer I wanted to play and prepare to go to battle with them.

Im glad they removed killer switch because that way we get more killer variety and not „oh, I’m assuming they are experienced so let me switch to nurse real quick“.
7 -
It was removed to accommodate for separate matchmaking rating (MMR) per Killer, which was a feature people wanted for years.
As for Survivors, there's absolutely nothing wrong with quick switching. Survivors are all cosmetic, there's no advantage to be gained from quick switching, and I don't understand the complaints about it.

It's mostly because people take lvl 1 character or low lvls and then last second take their main and just destroy killers, feels wrong you know?
4 -
Uh.. no. I don't.
Unless the Survivor is explicitly wearing Prestige/Legacy clothing (which most don't in my experience, especially the latter), the Killer has no way of knowing what level that players Survivor is.
The absolute most quick-switching can do is provide pre-loaded add-ons onto an item of your choice. Which isn't a big deal, as it only takes a couple of seconds to equip the item and your preferred add-ons anyway.
7 -
And as it turns out, there's basically no individual Killer MMR.
Revert it.

I remembered quick switching killer at the last second just to throw the survivors off what killer they were facing.
1 -
yeah thanks to mmr you don't have to assume, you know that if you won't pick blight or nurse you get demolished
3 -
I don't understand what he's saying anyway. As you said, survivors are mostly just cosmetic.
3 -
I don't think survivors should be able to switch characters in a lobby either.
1 -
It won't be as much of a problem after the midchapter patch, but the quick-switching was mostly a problem because survivors would quick-swap to keys without giving the killer any time to prepare for it by bringing perks like Franklin's.
Honestly, quick-swapping was never the problem, it's the strength of the things they could quick-swap to that made it obnoxious.
1 -
It was interesting how often I'd find a lobby full of Calm Spirits when I would switch from Doctor to Wraith.
I mean, it only happened seven times, but that's still a lot--one gentleman even called me out for it :)
It's always nice to mess with people who use third-party programs to cheat; shame I can't do that specific maneuver anymore.
6 -
How would the survivors know who they're facing? Sounds fishy to me, since you aren't supposed to see what killer you're facing.

What? But the killer is standing but two feet over there. Think that small bush is going to hide them? I think not.
2 -
In your previous post, you mentioned the killer quick-switching at the last second, I just called attention to the question: "how would survivors know what killer they're facing in the lobby?" Should've worded it that way but that is what I meant.

Referencing my own post, third party programs.
I remember there was one that would show you the killer and their entire loadout (perks, add-ons, offering)--and worse, people actually defended using it, on both sides.
Disgusting.

😑
On topic answer, They can't.
Off topic answer, it used to be a time where survivors could view the killer's Steam profile and make a logic guess to the killer through achievements/screenshots.
also since you took it seriously, "quick switching" as killer would be pointless. Was just pointing out the absurdity of wording in the OP.

some people cheat, man, it's not that complicated.

Survivor MMR is shared across all their survivors, there's not a different MMR rating for any of the individual survivors. For example with Mikaela coming out next week, she'll have the same MMR score as I have on my current two mains Kate & Nea, as all the survivors have the same MMR.
There is individual MMR for killers - they're starting off at around the same level initially, because if you're very strong with one killer you're not likely to be really really low MMR with another (and even if you are, your MMR will gradually drop as you lose), as you still will know the basics of chases etc so you're not completely new to the game.

Maybe there should be individual survivor MMR, somehow whenever I play as Bill my brain instantly turns to mashed potato (and based on study of other Bills, I don't think I'm alone in this)
1 -
i have never seen a normal Bill player, they either hide in lockers all game waiting for hatch or they're off doing flips and running circles around the killer.
therefore Bill should have his own MMR seperately from other survivors. this man is too much for some to handle.

You're just getting old

Killers could never quick switch to the effectiveness that survivors can. There was almost no situation where quick switching as killer would do anything beneficial.
1 -
People used to cheat. There were many ways until BHVR finally fixed it not long ago.
You could last switch from doc to another Killer to see that all/most of the survivors suddenly had Calm Spirit for some reason. Over and over and over. With Doc as one of my main killers, I saw this all the time. Sometimes I'd last switch from another killer to Doc and then after the game I'd get in post chats "huh, I thought you were playing [insert Killer] instead of Doc. Or I'd switch from Doc to another and as mentioned, they'd all have Calm Spirit. Same with Plague. See a bunch of med kits? I'd switch to Plague and the survivors would suddenly remove their medkits. It was a ######### shitshow.

Killer switch should come back
1 -
There's no need into killer switch. Make it so survivors are locked and can't change anything once timer hits 20sec while killer can.
0 -
I would be happy with locking them in the last 10 seconds to be honest.

lmao

I'm pretty sure there is? My nurse games feels like more seal 6 SWF compared to my trapper..

I tested it.
My Nemesis games (who I have played EXTENSIVELY since he came out) are usually versus the same 3 or 4 teams.
I bought Pig, didn't level her up and immediately queue'd. Exact same teams as my Nemesis games.
If there is individual Killer MMR, it's basically meaningless
