Tombstone Piece and Alchemist's Ring nerf when?
to be honest, I don't understand why the developers didn't nerf these two addons when they decided to change the addons of these two killers

Well i mean they looked at them and decided they were fine i guess.

I’m actually surprised that Tombstone hasn’t been needed into the ground with the upcoming match. Either the devs think it’s a fine way to shake up the game, keep it as it is in order to keep getting sales for Myers or *puts on tinfoil hat* the license holder has more say in the killers abilities and power level than we think.

Another "great" ballance joice by the Devs :(
2 -
I was expecting tombstone piece and alchemist change as well. But maybe devs looked at them, then looked at stats and saw that kills with those 2 add ons were stupidly low overall, so maybe decided to keep them?
I like your explanation too, its possible that licence holders want to keep that ability on their character.
However that doesnt mean it cannot be nerfed just one requirement on tombstone piece - survivor needs to be hooked at least once to get moried - and its perfectly balanced.

Dead Hard nerf when?

According to BHVR themselves, the license owners for Michael Myers are "old and out of touch with videogames". I doubt they know what DBD's gameplay even is about, much less the abilities of Myers.
I think the only reason they accepted to license Myers was because they were offered money, they probably don't know what the game even is. I think Myers's power is 100% created by the devs with no license holder involvement.
The only killers I think the license owners for them helped creating their power are Pyramid Head and Nemesis, since they are from game franchises and the license holders know how to design videogames.

It is a little strange they weren't nerfed in the upcoming midchapter, but that doesn't mean it won't be coming. Myers needs far more work than what he's already getting, and iirc Blight didn't have many changes, so I think they just tossed a few quick and easy changes to those two killers to bundle in with the big patch, and they'll get to the more complex ones later?
Just a guess, though.

If it's not straight up bias, the ignorance is real on their part.

Neither is getting nerfed anytime soon - and frankly, I find it odd that people are so desperate for the nerfs on these in particular. Tombstones aren't difficult to suss out, and LoS control is nearly entirely under the control of survivors in a regular game.
5 -
Yes!
1 -
LoS isn't some infinite option and killers move faster than survivor, what version of DbD are you playing?
You can also be immediately removed from a game thanks to the another survivor giving him all the stalk he needs. Which again, may not even have been that avoidable on their part. Tombstone Piece really doesn't require that much stalk for what it can do.

I'm playing the same crappy matchmaking as you, but even mid-tier players can get that Tombstone Piece to take approximately 2 minutes to pop off - doesn't matter the map, 2 minutes is an average worst case scenario. I've seen it take four or longer. A certain proportion of a survivor has to be visible for a stalk to start triggering, plus he can't stalk if you're too close, plus he can be lost fairly easily due to the speed decrease while stalking - seriously, play some Myers in any halfway decent bracket if you think a Tombstone's anything but a (largely detrimental to function) meme.
"Nerf this because it means we don't get to press W for Win" just isn't the compelling argument people think it is.

I mean, we can do what many Killers do in this situation and call the Devs killer-sided. Because you have to be pretty killer-sided to think that Tombstone Piece and Alchemist Ring are fine.
On a more serious note:
I did my Blight-Adept yesterday with Alchemist Ring and the Add-On is just bonkers. Does not matter if the Survivor managed to avoid up to 5 Rushes, I am back at them in a second. So no reward at all for playing smart and letting me use more Rushes.
And Blights seem to think like that as well, otherwise I cannot explain why there were so many Alchemist Ring-Blights right after the announcement that they will change Add-Ons for him.
And well, Tombstone Piece... It goes beyond my mind why an Add-On which lets you kill a Survivor instantly without much of a Setup (the Stalk is manageable with the Memorial, which is used combined with the Tombstone Piece) is still in the game.
So, yeah... Both should be nerfed. Maybe at some point in the future... (And Myers still needs some love)

IMO tombstone piece should be made part of Michael's basekit. He is meant to be the embodiment of pure evil and yet is one of the weaker killers. As for alchemist ring, they should nerf it greatly but maybe make it so that Blight gets 2 charges back when he hits someone with a lethal rush by default.
1 -
It's simply because the devs don't understand at all the power level of their killers nor their mechanics.
Tuned Carburetor for Billy (which really sucks ass) being the same rarity as something Alchemist Ring should tell you everything.
3 -
Then it drop down to tier 2. Usually survivors won't let you hit ew3 once they figure out you have tombstone.
1 -
I find it a peculiar situation but at the same time I'm more or less fine with tombstone peice albeit maybe some tweaks. The ring I can't really comment on since I don't really use it.
Tombstone peice and Judith Myers Memorial both grant the ability to kill survivors if you get close enough. The thing about Tombstone peice though is that it's really difficult to actually do completely right and if you try to do it the right way you could lose. Systematically you have to stalk survivors and can only kill them if they have absolutely nothing to stalk anymore.
That being said I don't think Myers ability to kill survivors should ever be taken away but more so adjusted to make it fair for the survivor who first gets killed. The community would have a riot over everything if the devs removed it entirely

I know right, i mean you can dead hard the tombstone mori, very unfair :(
0 -
Well Tombstone takes a long time to get and most of the time by the time you do get it the gens are all done plus with Myers lore in this realm the entity looses control of him so he doesn't sacrifice.
The Ring well I don't have much to say other than it being a strong add on I don't use it a lot but it's still fun to use
0 -
tbf in terms of mobility the ring is strong but there is a very easy counterplay against it..
Just dont run after a hit to the next tile or straight away, simply stick to the loop or tile you are at and you completly negate the addon. Not that hard.
0 -
They think AR and TP are fine, but consider wraith to be "a wee bit overpowered"
2 -
soon. just keep complaining about killers having strong things and the devs are 100% going to cater to you.
0 -
If someone feeds him stalk it might as well be a 3v1 that you shouldnt win. But hey survivor is the power role so you could probably still 3 man out a myers because of their ridiculously unbalanced perks
0 -
Tombstones, mirrors and tufts are so wee bit op that their numbers exceed even brown add ons in my inventory.
0 -
Yeah they dont really understand the power of survivors...
0 -
Ah yes, bring up an entire other issue thatll solve it!
2 -
I mean tbf... dh does need a nerf to only work as intended. (which is a gimmick)
0 -
k.. but DH has absolutely nothing to do with the original post
1 -
You know, now that I understand how the whole stance thing works (namely that Myers's open/closed hand is not tied to his Tombstone add-ons but rather his speed), I actually do think it's time to look at the Tombstone add-ons. The whole "jump into a locker" thing no longer applies to Judith's Tombstone because now there is no longer an obvious tell in Tier 2 that warns you about Judith's Tombstone, and as it turns out, it never applied to Tombstone Piece in the first place (because you can just 99 while in Tier 2 and then wait until you close the distance to fire up EW3 and go in for the kill).
Maybe an add-on that lets you immediately kill a Survivor unconditionally by fulfilling a requirement isn't a healthy add-on. :P
0 -
It is an add on. The entire idea behind them is backwards to begin with. They were made for blood web fodder and to trick people into thinking killers/items were better than they were.
0 -
Ooohhh poor baby
0 -
One of these is a massive issue, and the other is Tombstone.
0 -
I mean, who is really asking for Myers to get a nerf when he's one of the weakest killers in the game.
1 -
I wouldn't even mind if they removed all of those add ons since they are handicap against good survivors in most cases.
They can be fun or unfun sure but nothing I couldn't live without so let them have it.
If they switch to tier 3 hate or something, then I will have a problem with it.
Myers need some buffs, nerfing his basekit would be ridiculous. Nerfing meme add ons or removing them? Go ahead idc.
0 -
One of them wastes a bit of time
The other deletes you from the game for simply holding M2 with no drawback
0 -
Omg something can kill survivors its op
