Is there really any reason to escape when playing survivor?
You have your chases you practice your looping and then what leave for a higher mmr and 5000 BP?
I would rather give the killer a kill. If not they can try to force me out...already had my fun. High level survivor is just boring gen rushing.
Had a game where a nemesis downed me taking aggro at the end game. He picked me up and dropped me off at the exit gate but I didnt crawl out. Nemesis whipped my body but I wouldn't move...he motioned to a teammate who hadn't left to heal me. He proceeded to whip me to force an escape.
Do you try to escape as a survivor anymore? Or are you after those elusive BP grade rewards 🙄

Is it even playing the game anymore if you aren't doing your objective.

I just use my underrated meta build.
DS, DH, BT and PLUNDERER'S INSTINCT!
I PULL KEYS EVERY GAME AND NOBODY CAN STOP ME

Depends on the situation. If I've had a fun game, gotten to do everything, and no one's hooked, I'm out.
But if I haven't and there's a guy on hook getting camped end game, I'll gladly take 2 protection hits and go down to let a teammate out. Can lead to some spicy plays too, which is always fun.

The objective of the survivor is to escape. Sandbagging to get easier games is kind of scummy. Plus, "giving the killer a free kill" forces them higher in the MMR, which is also kind of scummy. Not leaving if the killer tries to give you a free escape when you didn't earn it, is up to you though. Nothing wrong with not taking the offer.

I think theres a lot more incentive to escape as survivor than to kill as killer at the moment. That 5-7k makes it worthwhile. Plus its easier to play survivor anyways. As killer the point difference for a 4k vs an 8-10hook game is negligible. Killers can play at lower mmr with no stress if they wish and lose little to nothing to do so.

On the other hand if you're playing to try and beat the other player's scores then killing someone rather than escaping is a huge point swing between the two of you. And while I understand a lot of players don't play to beat the survivor's scores, when you consider the devs intentionally put in add-ons such as Padded Jaws which give the killer a handicap in the game to increase their relative endgame score versus the survivors it makes those add-ons actually make a small amount of sense. (Those particular add-ons make zero sense from a design perspective if the devs don't think of the endgame score screen as a possible "victory condition".)

Low mmr also means worse teammates. I had a loss streak of 10 yesterday because of bad teammates. I’d rather have a good killer with teammates that know what they’re doing than a easy killer with braindead teammates. The worst part about loss streaks is that your games are only going to get worse and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Yes. I play the game longer than most survivors. I stay behind to finish totems or sabo more hooks, or get chased, whatever really. More playing, less waiting in lobbies.

Lovely system. sandbag your mmr and boost a killer worse off into harder games. at this point I don't think there's much winning to do with the systems for it

If killer tunnel me out as soon as possible, Im more happy now that he will face hardcore survivors next match. While my next match is chill
Before mmr its sad to get tunneled out because there is no guarantee that the next killer isnt a try hard.

I dont know when i play killer mmr makes it almost impossible to get my objective done most of the time🤑

That is a good point. If you want to tunnel, then have fun with the bully squads

You forgot appraisal

Haha, just have a Wraith tunneled a Mika with 4000 BP. Since many plays Mika now, a new character with not many perks. Its super easy to tunnel off them for easy kill. Easy increase mmr to max for that Wraith.
And after 2 weeks when people back to their main, we will see who will cry.

depends on how the rest of the match goes

Yes, exactly. IDK why with MMR one would want to tunnel.

Considering you can usually tunnel one out and get another, before gens are done, I'd say MMR goes up.

This works surprisingly well🤣

I notice more teams killing themselves to the entity at the endgame.
Had 3 teams do it to me yesterday after I got my bbq stacks and didnt want to kill them.
Went around kicking all the ormond walls I could as spirit and they wouldn't leave
2nd match was an rpd match looking at the wall after trying to catch survivors abusing the infinite loop vs trickster.
3rd match was cowsheds jungle gym to shack to cow tree to jungle gym vs deathslinger.
I just do the same as survivor now...make my own casual mode.

I mean, I don't really need bloodpoints anymore since my characters have everything I want and prestige rewards are an obvious relic of the past/joke. Pair this with the casual nature of the game, since livestreams and balance decisions prove to me repeatedly that DBD should not be taken as a serious competitive game and yeah.
All I get for surviving is 5k bloodpoints more and the ability to have harder games faster.
I'd much rather have fun trying to be a hero and dying trying to save someone in the end-game or just goofing around nowadays.
That said, I still try and be respectful and leave asap if the killer was obviously trying and there's no one left to save. I also don't like dying purposefully letting killers kill me when I think they're trying, because it always felt insulting/bad to me when I used to try-hard as killer, lost, and people let me kill them. That's a personal preference though.

Consider survivor escape through hatch will not get mmr +, while Killer will not get mmr - for that survivor. Which mean if Killer has 3k and that survivor escape through hatch. His mmr is increased much more than he should while survivor keeps their mmr, thats evil.

i don't run meta perks so i'm genuinely happy to escape. i'll make up for it by getting destroyed in the next match.

If you dont like winning as survivor go play killer instead and stop feeding MMR points to people who might not deserve it.

any system is going to be abused and they made it stupidly easy

Didn't think about that😱...man this new system is ridiculousy broken for killer.

I play both roles do you?😊

I see it as helping the killer farm points that they earned.
