Just don't buy it

People are so angry about the NFT's, but have you ever thought about not buying the damn thing?

If nobody buys it, then it won't become such a huge problem.

Sure... for those who already bought the DLC, there's no going back.

But I mean, if people are not happy about the whole NFT thing, then they have the option to not buy it after learning that Hellraiser was made from one.

I meant to ask... are you willing to ask for a refund if possible?

Wasn`t this the other way around?

That they made the DLC and then it got a NFT? I also do not think that the DLC buyers helped to found the NFT. That would be produced without even a sindle dollar going out for the DLC purchase. First the ingame models where created and then they got handed over acording to a contract and where made into a NFT by a different company. This could very well be without the devs involvment...

Now your reason is "involvment with NFTs" and this is the case. Here BHVR should have come clean. Costumers need clear informations to make educated decisions. I would have prefered to get noticed about this earlier as well...but unfortunatly there is no "free from NFT" label...

Yea, I would love a refund, actually.

I'll never play Pinhead again despite owning him.

You may ask for one since the DLC has features that werent listed on the eshop page, I dont know if they are obligated to but at least you can try (I know I would if I had bought it), you may be lucky especially if you live on the EU.

the "just don't buy it" mentality is so nieve to the issue at hand. First of, many of the players have already bought the Pinhead DLC, because the information about NFTs was withheld from us. And we know it isn't new as BHVR said they've been working on it for months. Doubly so when they even WITHHELD THE INFORMATION FROM THEIR OWN STAFF.

However, the real point is to do with morality. Do you really think it's ok to stay and support a company that promotes the use of NFTs? I for one, do NOT want to play a game run by such people. Especially after they openly deceived the community not even a week ago.

Anybody with a conscience should realise BHVR deserve every bit of hate they're getting right now. Nobody should be supporting the company in the slightest, which includes playing the game, and making ANY ingame purchases.

But why would you not play him if you own him anyway?

Like you said, you had no power in knowing the truth the time being so it's not your fault for owning him now right?

I just hope this doesn't ensue in a witch hunt against all Pinheads now.

I for one will not stop playing Pinhead. I have him and I like playing him. The money is already spend and I do not see how I "support" NFTs just by playing a character that has a NFT. Worse I would just have paid for a service that I am not using resulting in BHVR making the money off me without even having the expenses.

I hope that people realize that not playing Cenobite will not result in anything other than a less diverse Killer roster and lost money. Also there are probably many people who are not aware of NFTs and just want to enjoy their game while sending survivors to brazil with his mori...

This is wrong. The NFT was made prior to the DLCs launch.

    A little overdramatic there...

#BoycottBHVR happened before and we know how shortlived that was.

Also, your suggestion is exactly my point. If you don't support it, then don't purchase it.

I don't understand why you're up in arms with my post. You're promoting the same thing.

The really sad thing is, that there will always be enough dumb people out there who buy this [bad word] to make it profitable.

you're saying just dont buy it. Like there isn't bigger moral implications to the problem at hand. It isn't about not buying it, it's about the betrayal of trust from BHVR. players feel lied to and deceived, it isn't as simple as not buying it, that wont solve anything. BHVR need to know how much they ######### up.

Yes, it was sketchy of them to not inlcude any notice of NFT directed to the Hellraiser chapter, but what's the point in being all emotional about it?

If you don't feel like supporting BHVR and DBD anymore then you can stop and uninstall. If people are only willing to criticize and hope BHVR learns from their mistakes and keeping playing, that's alright too.

They can continue to keep making NFT content forever for all I care, as long as they inform us. I'll just never buy it.

I am totally I the dark here. I know the basics of what nft's are, but I do not know what is so bad about them. Can someone give me a quick lesson?

Crazy that something with no physical form is bad for the environment.

Look up the definition of ponzi scheme

As it's a ponzi scheme that causes damage to environment and encourages idiots to steal art to try and make a quick buck

Please show me the announcement of the NFT before the DLC was sold, it may have been "made" prior to the DLCs launch, but even some BHVR staff that work on Dead By Daylight had no idea this NFT was a thing, let a long the players buying the DLC.

It's more than that, because steam also bans games outright who have NFT transactions or support NFT so anyone who has been here from the start like myself will lose legacy and have to rebuy the game on epic games or the windows store and then rebuy the damn dlcs , they're literally dropping this next chapter after teasing a partnership with epic games anyone would be a fool to buy the next chapter because it could be taken away and then they just pocket that money and leave for epic games that's my concern, I understand NFT are bad for the environment and they're basically useless and valueless when you get into how they work it's basically a pyramid scheme

Also let's not forget the fact that they also lied when info got leaked saying that they had no involvement

Only to say they are involved

That's what i plan to do. I buy what i want more of. I do not want NFTs, so i will not buy them. Yes maybe i have indirectly help fund them by buying DBD and it's DLC from Behaviour but it's too stressful to be that careful with your money, we don't truly have as much control over where our money goes as we think. I have bought coca-cola, i have used twitter, and they both have NFTs. Better to worry about things i actually have control of.

Yeah, let me just rewind time back to September 7th when literally nobody knew about this NFT situation.

I bought Hellraiser the day it released. Had no idea even what a NFT was even if BHVR mentioned it beforehand.

I used Pinhead last night and not once thought about NFT.

I will continue to use him and mind my own ######### business.

If something comes of it I will play another game.
