Question about cross progression

I know that they can't talk about it, with the recent info I've heard. And that it's only geared towards switch and not Xbox or playstation. But can't they just have you send proof of your accounts to them (kinda like you do with the cross progression that is already there for stadia and the other platforms) and just have them credit you the auric cells, iridescent shards, and blood points that you've accumulated? That shouldn't be something they need permission from Microsoft or Sony to do (unless I'm mistaken). As an example I played on Xbox one. I have like 1500 hours on it. But lately the game is, imo, unplayable. Because every time I start to do something like vault a window, dead hard, throw a hatchet, shock with doctor, etc, I get massive frame drops and the game freezes/stutters for a second. Causing misses or me being hit when I shouldn't be. So I switched to PC ( I have about 100 hours as of this post on PC) but I have already spent a lot of money buying dlc's back I already have, and a lot of time trying to grind up my characters to get perks unlocked. I did the math, and if you average 1 mil BP's a day it will still take you over a year to unlock all perks (meaning getting the characters to lvl 40) and then get those perks on only just the killers/survivors you want. Which means because they can't or won't fix the game for consoles, I'm forced to spend the next year and a half (because of the added grind for new characters throughout that time, that come out) to get where I'm already at on console. As well as spend hundreds of dollars on the dlc's and cosmetics I've already purchased. Not even counting any of the new dlc's or cosmetics I might want in the future. Imo this idea of crediting instead of cross progression would should be a priority. And yes I understand that this would take a lot of time and effort, sifting through all the people that send in for it. But something tells me that it's easier and faster than waiting for Sony or Microsoft to allow the cross progression they do have.
